Commercial Description:

Tap at Mondiale 2008. Pours a medium amber with a thin lasting head. Aroma nicely hoppy- fragrant with some perfume, and flowers- citrus, grassy, and earth, a bit soapy with some lemon zest and cleanser. Flavor is toasty bread, caramel malts, earthy hops, pine, some sap, medium caramel sweetness in the end with a lingering hop bitterness on the tongue. Pretty good.

Pours a deep copper amber with a thick frothy white head but disspaearing pretty fast. Nice aromas of spicy hops and peaches. Smells like Amarillo I tought, Nice balanced palate between malt, caramel malts and hops. Not overly bitter but still a good dose of grapefruity hops. Very nice IPA.

Sampled on draft at Capone’s on 12/03/2009. Pours a dark amber/chestnut brown color with golden ruby orange hues when held to a light source and a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Not much in the way of lacing. Strong caramel malt aroma that isn’t very hoppy. Slight earthiness with minimal pine presence and very subtle citrus in the nose. Chewy resinous medium body with much more of a hop presence than the aroma leads you to believe. Strong caramel malt backbone with some slight toasted biscuit character. Dry pine and sweet citrus notes, mostly grapefruit and orange peel. There is some slight alcohol warmth but overall this is pretty quaffable. Sweet yet sharp, dry finish.

On Tap at Capone’s, Pours a nice burnt orange color with some lacing. Nose has moderate hop presence. First sip is strong with malt, some grassy over tones. Hops take over quickly. Finishes clean. Not bad.
