Commercial Description:

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber-orange color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cat pea and dry hops which is somewhat reminiscent of Orval. Taste is also a strange mix between some dry European style hops with some funky Orvalesque notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Bottle had kind of aged and developed an Orval like infection which was very interesting though necessarily voluntary.

From cask at Vices et Versa. Hazy amber-orange with a small but sticky white head. Beautiful citrus (grapefruit, orange) and pine hoppy aroma. Flavour maintains the hop presence, with the addition of caramel and biscuit from the malt. Carbonation is about what you’d expect from a cask. Very, very solid.

Mmmm this is a good IPA. Hazy amber color with a tan head this beer has drink me all over it. The nose is nice and hoppy a little grassy hops with a solid malt aroma in the backround. The mouthfeel is full and almost oily. Taste is rich malt and good bitterness but not dry.

Very piney citrus aroma, almost feels sticky on the nose. Very hop foward, piney and citrusy with solid malts backing it up. great ipa!

Seen in bottle for the first time today; 8,49$ for 750ml, which is a lot of money for a beer bottled 25 km away from where I bought it, at BDF. Amazing IPA, though, very hoppy. A lot of things in suspension, making it a very hazy reddish-caramel color. At each sips, there seems to be internal tidal waves in the glass, revolving around with the carbonation. Lasting thin layer of foam. Something in the aroma reminds me of that strong glue odor I remember from the crazy monster Dogfish Head 120 minutes, at 21% ABV (it might seem like a problem but I like these two beers so much!). The taste is of citrus hop at first, very dominant and that slowly but aggressivly attacks every part of your mouth, leaving your tongue numb, dizzy and begging for more! Caramelised maltiness and various layers of taste and the hop subtilities make this beer one of the finest IPA I ever had, not too powerful and very subtle everlasting aftertaste.

Cask at Spuyten Duyvil: Hazy deep orange with a dense off white lace- nice fruity hop aroma- amarillo-like hops- peachy & mango tropical fruit notes. Creamy light body. Fruity flavor- a touch citric in the flavor some of the tropical fruit notes (peach & mango) upfront followed by a citric/lemony character. There’s a light crystal/pale base to balance. A bit too citric in the hop character, but a pretty nice cask overall.
