Appears to be a 500ml brown bottle. Guessing on the size as there is no label per se, just a white sticker with "Postcolonial IPA 6.5%" handwritten on it. (Hand?)Bottle from Goldorak. Head started to creep out the bottleneck immediately after uncapping. Very heady pour, 2 fingers plus worth of whitish cream, gernerous lacing on the glass. The beer itself is a hazy amber-orange. It absolutely glows when held up to the light. Hoppy aroma, a mix of oranges with grapefruit and lemon peel notes. Flavour was a bit unexpected - sweet orange hop flavours, lemon acidity, drier malts, some spiciness, earthiness, leather, finishes grapefruity. Some other raters noticed it as well (I thought I may have been imagining it), but theres some resemblance to Orval or De Ranke XX in this brew, which is a good thing in my opinion. Excellent beer. It’s beer like this that make trading so rewarding. Thanks again Goldorak.

On tap at Ho.st. Strangely this tap pours a ridiculously clear gold for an IPA. Big bready citrusy hop aroma. Very soft bodied with a med-full mouthfeel gives it a luscious mouthfeel.

Has the English and malty characteristic I don’t like. Light amber. Blah. Had this on draft at the Hopfenstark brewpub. It’s good but not what I like hence the better rating than I want to give it

Arômes florales au nez, robe légèrement voilée. Plutôt céréaleux, final sèche. Houblon persistant sans être déplacé, qui ressort surtout en arrière goût.

Roasted malt, raisin. Cramel malt, plum, peach, smoke, hoppy finish. Well crafted local IPA.

Nice IPA. Some citrus grapefruit in nose. Pours cloudy orange with great head and lacing. Malt well-integrated and robust. Light bitter finish. Some booze as well. Finish is nice, even with some perfume. Tap at Vices et Versa.

Solid english style IPA for me. Pours light brown with some nutty notes and some earthy bitterness. Getting some caramel as well. Medium sweet and pretty light bitterness for the style.

Thanks a million to pat for hooking me up with this! Pours a dark brown amber red with two nice fingers of head almost looks like a sour brown. Lists of grapefruit and citrus notes in this one. The taste is mildly sweet at first followed by a heavy hit of hops and carbonation. A real nice IPA.

Opens up with only a small hiss, uh oh. Pours a nice copper with a moderate amount of head that stay for the whole time. Aroma is really restrained with a few floral notes here and there. Taste is medium sweet with a good but not overpowering bitterness. Mouthfeel is nice with just the right amount of carbonation for my personal tastes. Flavors impressed me, really. I got bubblegum, cotton candy and a little perfume. I usually prefer my IPAs to pack more hop flavors but the malt and hops interplay really made this one special for me. Great stuff!

Bouteille 750 ml.
