On tap at the 20th Vermont Brewers Festival. Hazy light amber with a biege head. Liked the saison and farmhouse aroma - bit sour and tart, some spice, grains, citrus, wheat. Full body, moderate to low carbonation, great mouthfeel, long pleasant and fresh finish. Worth seeking out.

Hazy tan. Phenolic and slightly fruity aroma, with maybe some barrel influence. Tart and sweet, oaky and fruity. Finishes a little bit tart. Fun, new world interpretation of saison.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Boutip (3979) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 18, 2012
Draft: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a medium size foamy had with OK retention. Aroma consists of rustic malt with floral and herbal notes. Taste is a complex mix between some rustic malt notes with some floral undertones and light herbal notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Nice mix between complexity and drinkability. I would love to have this beer available to me on a more regular basis.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 blankboy (5153) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 22, 2010
Draught at Volo. Pours a murky orange-copper with a small diminishing creamy/frothy white head. Nice sour fruity aroma, also yeasty and with light spices -- more sour then I would expect from a Saison but it’s quite nice. Flavour follows the aroma with sour fruit, some citrus tartness, yeast and light spices. Average to medium bodied. Another great beer from Hopfenstark.

A pint on draught. Cloudy orange with a thin head. Stange sour nose. A bit thin on the mouth with a solid tartness and some sourness. No hop flavour. A nice session beer. I think the sample at Le Grillon was a bit old. I will resample from another bar.
