On tap at Volo Cask Days 08. A sour/tart nose with a hint of yeast. Cloudy orange/golden with a minimal white head. Taste is sour fruit, yellow plums, white grapefruit and starfruit come to mind. Light bodied, very well balanced, complex, tart, dry and most refreshing. Terrific.

Draught at Volo Cask Days, Toronto, October 2008. This beer is a beautiful golden orange, hazy with a wonderfully frothy head. Looks great! There is lemon, clove, orange, spices and some pleasant sourness in the aroma. Great carbonation. I taste lemon with some zest, orange and sourness in the finish.

Tap @ Cask Days. Very hazy golden yellow, soft but resilient white head. Nose is tons of yeast, bright fruits, banana, clove, apple skins - a very aggressive nose. Flavor is bright apple skin, light must, eyast, lemony banana. Earthy fruit in the finish. Very nice and verrrry aggressive.

on tap at volo cask days 2008. perfect hazy deep golden with a big fluffy white head. aromas are fruit esters with some saison funk and yeast. the flavour are of big full bodied saison. esters, spice, some sourness and yeast. the hops are there throughout but really shine on the finish. a very good saison and beers like this are why saisons are one of my new favourite styles.

Cloudy orangey golden pour with a thin offwhite head. Nice aroma of yeast and fruits. Good flavor of yeast, bread, fruits and some sweetness. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Another very good saison from Hopfenstark, keep ’em coming!

[1434-20080531] Tap. Smells like old barley sacks and a bit of sour yeast and light meats. Hazy, orange red body with a medium-lasting bubbly off-white head. Sour yeast flavour. Medium body. Quite good.

On tap at Vices & Versa. The color is a hazy honey with a light beige head. The aromA and taste is of spicies, also in the taste is malt. It is sweet but not to much. IIt leaves a nice aftertaste.

Sample at the 2008 VT Brewers Fest - Poured a slightly cloudy pale yellow in color with a small white head that quickly faded, Aroma is of bready yeast, bananas and some citrus. Flavor was also yeasty with the sour citrus and other fruits. Finishes with a mild sourness. Nice...
