. Fiche technique Style: Saison

Sweet earthy saison. Aroma almost has some lactic notes with tons of earthy bready Malta. Yeasty as all get up. Basement, earth and leaves. Soft carb and thin palate.

"this was unique, especially in the aroma, tan with a medium-full body for the style. nice brew. aroma slightly hoppy, with a definite rye character, but also some bark (?) and earthy. the saisoniness is in the background in the flavor too, but it’s pretty nice all around."

Bottle, shared with Robbie. Very hazy straw yellow, lively white head. Very estery nose and palate, lacking significant hops, but this bottle may be old. Lightly spicy, chalky mouthfeel, dry finish. Not foul, but nothing stands out here.

750ml bottle (Birofilia2014, Zywiec)
Pale gold, small head. Stinky saison aroma, vegetal, spicy, pungent. Sweet saisony taste, some honey. Not so good. Not refreshing at all. Yet another following-the-fashion saison fail.

Idiosynkrasie (4923) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2014
750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, golden colour with huge, frothy, fully lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has hints of apricot and peach, hints of rye, vegetable, unripe pear, spicy yeasty overtones. Taste is fruity, hints of apricot and peach, minimally peppery, spicy yeasty overtones; subtle tartness. Soft, gentle, micro pored, nevertheless sustainable carbonation for excellent palate. Superbly balanced, thoughtful crafted.
