On draught at Apex. Deep hazy golden color. Tart fruit aroma. Taste is banana, peach, pepper. Full-bodied for a saison.

Pours a hazy dark yellow-brown with a small amount of white head that lingers for a while. Smell is fairly sweet, with some vanilla, some spice, and maybe a hint of funk. Palate is medium bodied with good carbonation. Taste is a bit weird, this is much more of a tripel than a belgian saison. Quite sweet at first then follows with a bit of bitter and a bit of sour, the aftertaste is slightly better and balanced with sweetness. Interesting overall, but not really what I think when I hear "rye saison."

from a 750ml bottle bought at Peluso in Montreal. Aroma: cereal and grain with little lemony accents and Candi sugar. Appearance: Hazy blond / straw developing an average thickness head, creamy and long lasting. Head is sticking well to glass leaving a good lacing. Taste: We can well feel the Belgium yeast doing the work here with peppery and acid notes. Hops are at work also, leaving a floral bitterness that last for a long time. Acidity and bitterness are the main characteristics of this beer. Flavor notes are light but mainly Candi sugar, pepper, grain and cereal. A farm taste with a slight acidity. A good traditional season within style.

Hazy pale amber with a very large white head. Aroma is banana, grain, spices, fruity. Medium body with fizzy carbobation. Taste is malt, banana, some kind of subtle sourness. Good one.

Pours a pale, clear amber hue with an aggressive white head, leaves behind some nice lacing. Picking up on some sourness in the nose, blended with banana and grains. A fair amount of sweetness up front in the flavor, moves through into strong banana notes and finishes with a light acidity on the tongue. High carbonation level really widens the body and creates a smooth, full mouth-feel. I liked this one.

delightfully smooth and tastes best when accompanied by gangstarr over the loudspeakers at bar volo. "down the gullet."
