Oct 20, 2008 on tap at volo cask days 2008. perfect hazy deep golden with a big fluffy white head. aromas are fruit esters with some saison funk and yeast. the flavour are of big full bodied saison. esters, spice, some sourness and yeast. the hops are there throughout but really shine on the finish. a very good saison and beers like this are why saisons are one of my new favourite styles.

Oct 27, 2008 Draught at Volo Cask Days, Toronto, October 2008. This beer is a beautiful golden orange, hazy with a wonderfully frothy head. Looks great! There is lemon, clove, orange, spices and some pleasant sourness in the aroma. Great carbonation. I taste lemon with some zest, orange and sourness in the finish.

Jan 23, 2009 On tap, Volo. Appearance: Yellow hazy body, huge head. Aroma: Slight sour, peppery. Nice. Flavour: Lovely, lots of sharp sourness, spicy lemon finish. Magic.

Feb 13, 2008 On tap at Vices et Versa. Cloudy yellow, small white head. Really strong spice and floral aroma. Taste is very flavourful - tons of spice, more floral notes, medium to full bodied. A really satisfying fresh tasting saison.

May 31, 2007 Updated: Jun 1, 2008Modiale 2007. A little white head on cloudy orange. Appealing aroma of spice and yeast. Taste is great, fortified with rye, a good saison in a great style. Sourness in the finish. Good medium plus mouthfee. Lace in the glass. Refreshing. Had it again in 2008 and was not as enticing.

Jun 1, 2009 Tap at Bond (1 block from DDC). Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with yeast or hop particles floating around- big lasting white head and solid lace. Aroma is earthy, musty, herbal hops, and good fresh bready malts and some cracker hints. Hoppy flavor with slight woodsy hint, herbal, and good bready light carapils anda drying easy going finish. Very nice easy drinking saison/belgian ale- the typical saison yeast character isnt really found here, but the beer is still real nice.

May 25, 2008 A lightly hazed golden saison with a very thin white head. Pleasant aroma of bananas, cloves light anise and berries. In mouth, a sweet an oily saison, with bananas and strawberries, notes of cloves and herbal mint. A very nice and enticing beer. On tap at Vices et Versa, 6 Feb. 2008.
