COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison Station 55 is a red beer with veiled aspect, the taste of malt, hops and spices reminiscent of citrus coupled with a bitter finish. The 55 wants to be a hybrid between a Belgian beer terroir and IPA American type. It is seen against the brewing revival in Belgium.

Bottle. Light hazy yellow with a medium sized white head. Inviting nose; floral and fruity. A bit punchy in the flavour with some alcohol showing. Notes of honey/flowers, herbs, leafy greens, hay, white bread. Feels fine in the mouth with fluffy carbonation and ok balanced bitterness, though it has some astringency. Somewhat rough finish with light astringency and alcohol. Lots of things to like, but I find it a bit too rough overall.

Smells great, lots of wheat-like esters, fresh spices, belgian yeast. A bit sweet smelling. Foamy white long lasting head and a hazy effervescent appearance. Tastes very belgian, tons of belgian yeast here, but comes off a bit sweet -- a bit of funk could help round out the beginning. Finishes fairly dry. Could use a bit more balance, but still refreshing and bright. Medium bodied and highly carbonated.

Temptation (255) - - APR 4, 2015
The version that I tasted is 7% ABV, not 6,5, and is pale orangish, not red. The mouthfeel, warmy, slightly bitter and well carbonated, could remind of an average champagne. Anyway, is much better than its looking, pale, clean and somehow "bland". Correct saison, improves when chilled. Not bad, but nothing unforgettable.

Enfoque americano del estilo, con un primer plano de pimienta, herbolario y cilantro. Boca densa para el estilo, golosa, muy bien balanceada, con tacto y recuerdo de miel
