Pours a hazy golden orange with little head. Aromas of orange peel, Carmel and farmy funk. Complex taste with lots of fruit notes (apricot and citrus). Caramel malts. Long finish. Low carb. Tasty.

Pours deep cloudy gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Fruity caramel aromas. Medium bodied with sweet fruity yeast and caramel upfront turning to mild bitter fruit skin in the lasting finish.

Bottle from 99B, marked 5/12 & stored in a cool cellar. Cloudy orange pour with a brief, short white head leaving minimal lace. Nose is banana, ripe pear and some booze. Medium-heavy body with light, fine carbonation. Ripe pear, banana & Delicious apple. Some heat, minimal barnyard. Finish is more of the same. Not what I look for in a saison. Seems to follow a (bad, IMO) trend in saisons from this side of the pond: too sweet and heavy. Plus, this one is missing the rocky head and lively carbonation.

Cloudy orange pour, thumb of head. Aroma or orange, lemon rind, pear, very fruity. Pear and lemon up front, grassy, hop bitterness comes through. Medium body. This one couldn’t live up to that fantastic aroma but still quite god.

750 ml bottle. Pours a very cloudy orange with a resilient white head. Smells like orange and yeast. Flavor is fruity (orange, lemon), and somewhat old-ish. Very bitter, citrusy. Lingering bitterness. Good, but I was not blown away.

Clear golden amber pour. The smell is tart and fruity, slight spice, slight malt sugar. Yeast-dominated. Flavor is again yeast-dominated. Both huge phenols and esters, absolute assault of yeast. It includes spice, tart fruit, and ripe fruit. It is an absolute onslaught of yeast. A bit too much for my liking.

Bottle from Star Grocery. Pours light copper with a modest off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a barnyard and fruit flavor with a nice yeast presence and a slightly sour finish.
