Some citrus smells, not much happening with its appearance. However, it is quite a tasty and complex saison. Very subtle sour notes, crisp finish. An excellent beer!

Bottle courtesy of SFLpunk. Served in a Russian River TION glass. Pours a somewhat-cloudy golden peach color with a good white head and a nice collar throughout. The nose brings a bit of earth an funk along with a slight acidic presence. Wine-like with a bit of acidity. The flavor is nice as well, combining traditional saison yeast character with some wine flavors and a bit of fruit. Light funk and acidity throughout, leading to a dry finish. Light to medium body and high carbonation. Quite enjoyable. Serving type: bottle

750 ml bottle picked up in Montreal. Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. A large banana nose with some spices and Noble hops. The flavor is a interesting Saison; spicy, cinnamon, certainly lots of hops, no bitterness, citrus and apples, odd and yet tasty. Very flavorful. Man, Quebec makes some great beer!

Tap at the Saint-Bock: Poured a lightly cloudy dirty beige color ale with almost no head. Taste of light rustic malt with not much else. Taste is a bit of a letdown with lit watery malt and light rustic notes. Body is a bit too flat for style. I get a bad impression that the tap lines at Saint-Bock need a good clean-up. I have a bottle of this sitting in the fridge that will be use to re-rate.

Pours a hazy straw-colored hue with a thin white head, quickly receding to yield spotty lacing around the glass. Interesting grassy and grainy notes coming through, accompanied with noticeable sour and acidic elements in the aroma...grapefruit almost comes to mind. Pleasing sourness intermingled with a sharp hop bitterness right up front in the flavor profile. Finishes abruptly with a lingering dryness on the tongue. Smooth on the palate, the soft carbonation level works well in this style so as not to interfere with the flavor elements. Nicely done, I imagine this is really how a Saison should taste!

750 ml bottle. pours cloudy orange with a thin, but tight white head. floral and citrus hops stand out in the aroma. taste is sweet, with a nice yeast flavour, ends bitter and tart. mouthfeel is where i think this beer let me down. not enough carbonation. body is nice and full though.
