Bottle @ Willems Grobbendonk, Belgium. Lovely appearance. Pours cloudy golden with a full white head and lacings. Wauuw. Nose is fresh hops. Mega fresh hops. Lovely pine and grapefruit. Smooth, dry and crisp with a mild yeasty note. Funky, hoppy and dry. Niceness.

(33cl bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with a quickly diminishing medium egg white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, lime, kiwi, star fruit, nectarine, and horse blanket. Flavor of passion fruit, star fruit, pine, green plum, and kaffir lime with a dry, moderately bitter finish.

Bottle @ ZBF 2013.
Pours muddy pale yellow with a small, creamy, white head. Aroma has peach, pine, yeast, light grainy and some pomegranate. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel yet also kinda thin. Flavour is okay, malty, light caramel, piney and citrussy. A bit of apple. Medium bitterness. A tad boring.

Hopfiger, viel zu stark karbonisierter Antrunk. Hell würzig, etwas muffig, langweilig hell. 9/8/9/8//8

Bottle. Deep golden color. Grapefruit and lychee in the somewhat soapy aroma. Grapefruit, oily hops and soap in the flavor. Thinnish. Hint of leather. Not unpleasant.

Maybe the previous hop-bomb has killed my palate, but this is relatively bland. Sticky hop aroma, a fair bit of alcohol and heady esters too. Nice orange, can be poured clear, but the yeast comes over early, so take care. Small tight white head. Simple Belgian blonde body, but with a huge emphasis on the hops. Bitingly bitter, but not in a way that is well integrated with the overall taste. Too much alcohol in the mouth too. Numbs the mouth, but it’s not an interesting or welcome sensation. Something watery about it too, oddly. Had to fight to finish the bottle, and didn’t like having to ingest so much alcohol in the process. This has cut my will to tick more beers today. Basically an unexceptional belgian ale with a pile of additional biting bitter hops. Meh. And too much alcohol.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2012 33cl bottle thanks to Dutchdrebus. Hazy, a bit cloudy yellow color, full sized rough, a bit soapy white head that lasts and leaves a small lacing. Smell malts, only lightly some hops, pretty sweet and a bit yeasty. Taste malts, some hops, again a bit sweet, medium bitter. Medium carbo, medium body.

Half of a comparative test Duvel Tripel Hop vs. Hopjutters Triple Hop Hazy orange beer, under dense medium to good, just off-white head, recedihg. Toasted aroma, nettles or other garden weeds; dry UK hops after some time. Spicy flavours, lightly toasted, hints at diacetyl initially. Finish is very aromatic, the noble hops growing more powerful, hints of nectarine. Quite slick, medium bodied at least, creamy texture. Hopjutters, this is a good beer, even if the nose is a bit disappointing. But, as things stand today, if you aim at an American IPA, calling it triple hop, then this is too lame, to shy in what ought to be overbold citrussy, orangemarmalade-like hopbrew.
