COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A throwback to pre-prohibition ales, Drafty Window Farmhouse Ale embraces the spirit and craft of the prairie states, but with much of the “farmhouse funk” formulated out. With a focus on locally grown ingredients from the Midwest, this golden ale is complex, spicy and quaffable. Look for it at your favorite retailer or restaurant. Pours slightly hazy butterscotch gold with brief frothy white head. Nice malty aroma with a hint citrus, slightly musty. Flavors of ginger with orange peel on medium malt frame. Palate is lightly chewy. Overall very nice, a lot of finesse and subtly without getting heavy, refreshing.

Reddish with white head. Draft at cru. Malty and earthy. Doesn't taste how it looks.

12 oz. bottle from Chris - thanks again, Chris. Minhas! Wow, that makes sense. Pours a clear gold if you can keep the yeast floaters at the bottom from pouring in; I spotted them in the bottle, and left the last ounce or so in there. Small white head that settles into a wispy film and a ring. A metric shit ton of banana in the nose, with caramel and sweet bread, dried fruits like golden raisins and figs, phenols, a lot of sugar, and a bit of a metallic note. Medium-full bodied, with moderate carbonation and a really sweet and heavy mouthfeel. This one’s a load. 12 oz. is too much. 5.5% but drinks like double that level.

12 oz. bottle poured to a shaker at the bar in the Shoreline Restaurant in Gills Rock, WI.. Displayed a hazed, orangey gold hue, with some lingering fluffiness to the off white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was lightly dank & earthy, with soft esters. Light+ bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was honey sweet, with low, earthy bitterness, and noticeable, buttery diacetyl. Didn’t finish. Saison/farmhouse ale? Not enlightened.

Oh gracious this is made at Minhas?

Pours golden & perfectly clear with a loose small head that falls fairly quickly.

The aroma is sort of spicy with some lavender and metallic characteristics.... overall it’s really not very aromatic.

The beer is lightly fruity with a mild minerallity. It’s pretty sweet and has a sort of sweet corn thing happening. The beer is spicy a little soapy... sort of tastes like apples. ugh.

The beer sits unnecessarily heavy on the palate but has a carbonation that provides a little liveliness. It leaves a real bad lingering sensation on the finish.

Hazy amber/orange color; Light to medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast, fruit, & floral; Flavor of sweet malt, yeast, some hops, citrus, and light spice; Dry finish; Fairly harsh - not too good.

Everything about this is too sweet. Floral aroma, caramel and fruit flavors that are just too cloying before an overly sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml twist off. Golden pour, somewhat creamy head. Smell is minhas assmalt soda. Flavor is spices, booze, just overal harshness. Does not resemble a saison.

Ew. Not really a Saison. Kind if stinky, rotty tasting. Would Not have again.

This pours an orange bodied brew with a scrawny bubbly head that’s little more than a film. It smells fruity, cherries with an apple slice, and has some burnt light brown sugar. It’s watery and the light flavor is mildly fruity with a soft earthy bitterness. The finish is watery. "Drafty Window" somehow fits.

Poured a clear copper color with a fine head and minimal lacing. Aroma was of prune-like sweet fruits/malt. Taste is similar with a sweet malty front end followed with a slight prune flavoring and a light hop bitterness finish. Palate is decent. Overall, an OK farm house ale.
