COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Hopothesis IPA is the first of many cerebral drinking experiences. Our India Pale Ale is specifically formulated to be balanced, flavorful, and approachable. It can be easily paired with a variety of food and you can drink more than one and still feel quite lucid. Enjoy. Centennial & Cascade Hops 2-Row & Vienna Malts

Packaging says Chicago, Il and bottle reveals Monroe, WI....ie Minhas.....total deception. Beer is a average. Wish I would have looked at the bottle.....

Bottle @ home. Thanks to Andy as part of Secret Krampus. Hazed dark orange pour with a white head. Smells sour, briney, and of green apples. Big time celery, lemon juice, and paper. What the h? Flavor is gross. Tons of green apple, celery, and olive skins. Brine, lemon juice, and tons of caramel malt. This is crap.

Definitely the best thing about this beer is its appearance. Nothing else, except the ABV reflects anything close to a traditional or even recognizable IPA. Almost no hops in the nose, very little in the taste, body is not bad except there’s some missing characteristics that the hops give to the mouth feel. And of course the finish sums all of this up. I can hardly imagine how a more forgettable beer could be made.

This is not an IPA. Let me be clear, this is not an IPA. I have no idea what it is but it is not an IPA. No reason to say anything more. Bought 6, and 5 and 2/3 went into the toilet.

Hazy amber color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of citrus hops, caramel, & some floral; Flavor of sweet malt, caramel, hops, and citrus (notably orange); No real bitterness; Overall, kinda of weird - but not too bad.

This pours a clear golden color with a slight foamy head with a slightly bitter aroma. The taste is smooth and has a very sour/bitter tone. There is a flavor that tastes like old sour water that distracts from the overall taste. This could definitely use some work and improvements.

From sampler rack at the Pig....nose and color / appearance were good....taste not so much. Taste was kind of metallic and very very bitter...but not in a good way. Not good.

Draft at Chicago Hyatt regency. Doesn’t smell like much. Maybe a little hop. Taste is very mild and flat. Not very good.

Bottle. Pours an amber color, white head, so-so retention, nose is pine, citrus with some malt. Mouth is fruity hops, malt and a sweetness that lingers, cloyingly so at the end. Average.

Midwest Brewers Fest. Poured slightly hazy orange with white head. Sweet honey aroma with lil hop. Unpleasant taste. Bitter and incorrect.
