COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The BPA is a classic style from the Antwerp and Schelde River area. We use a yeast from that area, plenty of biscuit malt, continental pale malts, and some light caramel malts that gives it a honey like quality. Hopped with Styrian and Hersbrucker, and fermented warm to the 70’s. The yeast is notorious for a pepper and spice like flavor and a soft fruity aroma of cherry and pit fruits.

On draft at the brewery. A nice sessionable beer. The yeast is the dominating flavor, lots of spicy phenols and fruity esters. A delicate hop profile but it is there. Some malt graininess is present. A nice beer.

on tap 7/23/10. clear. dark golden with a white head and lasting ring. crazy yeasty bread nose...honey, orange pith and juice and peppery spice. the flavor is big in the yeasty bread department as well... warm spices, citrus and a mildly bitter finish. crisp medium body throws me off due to the presence of a little sludge. 6/3/6/3/14/3.2

On tap at Snowbird, thanks Dono. Pours a cloudy orange-like hue with a medium white head. The aroma is nice; biscuit, honey, lots of noticeable English hops. The flavor was very nice; fruity, very spicy akin to strong rye, smooth honey dipped malts, a very hoppy flavor, not bitter but more spicy and light fruit. Interesting. Like a Belgian Ale meets a English IPA.
