Malty nose, I’m not getting any choco-notes, but the sweet malts are there. I guess--if I try hard--I can get some fruits and some sourness. Flavor is basically ok...sweet/sour, with some hops popping out periodically. Medium bodied with similar level of carbonation on the way to the dryish finish. Middle of the road on this one...but probably wouldn’t see it out. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2005 Draft - Swampy ambers and browns, fizzy off-white head. Nose held notes of light chocolate, citrus, and pineapple. Similar flavors with good balance. Malt is the front runner with a slight hop bitterness following along and rounding this out. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, slightly tangy, dry finish. Not bad, not great.....

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2005 Draft at the Linebaugh location... Murky, copper beer with a small, frothy, off-white head. Good retention with polka dot and ink blot lacing. Smells like a combo of beef broth and sweaty socks. It’s malty, lightly tart, lightly sweet and a touch bitter... I guess that makes it well-balanced. Grapefruit rind, lemon and a hint of pineapple upside down cake. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Lengthy, tangy, astringent, very dry finish.
