douglas88 (708), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA May 8, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. This beer won gold in 2007 at GABF, so I had to have it. Pours a dark brown with a medium cream colored head. The aroma is sweet toast and some honey. The taste is a great example of a English-style mild; roasted coffee and a strong toasted malt, also, some bitterness in the finish. Really well made. Smooth and easy, but also damn tasty. A great job.
BückDich (4525), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 10, 2008 NABA 08: Pours a coppery brown color with light head. The nose is intensely malty with lots of caramel and melanoidins. Toast, biscuit, coffee. Amazingly malty mouthfeel and a creamy toasty finish. So good, I wish I could take more of this away. Wow!
