COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a collaboration with Fanø Brewery on Fano Island in Denmark, we created an Imperial Stout recipe to satisfy our own deepest desires. Brewing it on this picturesque summertime vacation island is how Natasha started, and of course we couldn’t wait to brew it at Hoppin’ Frog! The result is Natasha Rocks America - a rich, hoppy Imperial Stout with the deep-roasted, smooth flavor of Chocolate Rye malt. And, Natasha is generously dry-hopped with the perfect mix of select American hops, adding a great hop character to this super-tasty Imperial Stout collaboration brew.

Very nice spicy rye notes, with just a touch of roast behind it. Pours an opaque black with a full light brown head. The flavor is very rye heavy, with a bitter hop finish. The roasted notes just come back at the very end of the finish. Slightly thin mouthfeel, but a very long lingering finish. Quite a tasty beer if you like rye and hops.

Bottle, Beers of Europe. Pitch black pour with a reserved tan head. Glorious beak of chocolate, roasted malts and fragrant hop. More excellent choc in the flavour alongside some well placed hoppage. Full bodied and smooth, just a real treat. This is a very tasty Impy that walks the walk....yeah it does rock.

Barwa: ciemna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana ciemno beżowa, średniej wielkości, ładnie oblepiająca szkło. Aromat: ciemne słody, czekolada, kawa, wyraziste amerykańskie chmiele cytrusowe (butelka pachniała intensywnie nawet następnego dnia) oraz nuta alkoholowa. Smak: wytrawny, chmielowy (początkowo wręcz granulkowy),następnie ciemne słody, czekolada i wyraźna alkoholowa końcówka. Występuje też nuta jakby ziemista, zapewne od użytego słodu żytniego. Z czasem ten atak chmielu nieco ustępuje.

Poured from a large bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a thick black color with some visible sediment and a good-sized, large, creamy dark tan head with good retention and very nice cling and lacing. It had a big toasty chocolate aroma with notes of caramel and toffee along with some earthy and grainy hops undertones and bits of molasses and sugar. A nice sweet and malty beer with good chocolate and cocoa flavors along with some caramel and toffee and a light grainy bitterness underneath. It was quite creamy and wet and a little bit light in the mouth with average carbonation. Good beer, shared with Eric.

Bottle, 22oz. A wonderful looking beer, black in color and with a dense, creamy, fingerthick light tan head leaving lacings. The aroma has some alcohol, with roasted malts, coffee, pine cones, orange peel and some sweetish notes. The flavor has a nice bitterness and hoppyness, some chocolate and sweetness, and roasted malts. Full-bodied and creamy, with some alcohol warmth. Lasting roasted and hop-bitter finish with sweetness in the back. A really nice one. Really nice. 140207

Taste: Medium bitterness, low/medium sweetness, low sourness and a slight saltiness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, light/medium body, average carbonation, dry lingering bitter sweet, citrus, chocolate, bready, toasty finish with a slight sour and peppery twist. Comments: Lovely and glass lace.

Bottle at Øltorget september 3rd 2013. Black body with a medium tanned head. Aroma of dark roasted coffee beans, chocolate, grapefruit, rye. Fruity hoppy taste with roasted malt, toffee towards the end, light alcoholic. Nice bitterness with a herbal chocolate finish. Lots of taste in this one.

Just kinda whatever stout nose, surprisingly high ethyl alcohol presence. Taste is kinda generic chocolatey stout with noticeable peppery note from the rye, carbonation much higher than typical for RIS creates a weird sodalike character. Not a bad beer overall, but fairly bad by RIS standards (while not being horrible).
