4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled. Dark black with a frothy light-brown head that is long lasting. Dusty cocoa aroma with definite rye bread pungency, light wood, sugared dates and very faint alcohol at the tail end. Bittersweet cocoa upfront in the flavor, but the rye quickly breaks through leading the way for some moderately citrusy hops that are ultimately layered with dark chocolate and heavily roasted coffee beans in the finish. As it warms, the dusty bakers cocoa notes turn slightly softer and more milk chocolatey. A nice and even imperial stout that doesn?t lean heavily on barrel aging booziness. The rye lends a great earthy zestiness and really helps cut through the rich maltiness.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
"maybe some time has domne this well. I went into this timidly, as 7.5% is on the low end for an "imperial" stout, and the reviews have been good but not great. Upon cracking the bottle, though, this was an eye opener. Wonderful full aroma of rye and chocolate, light licorice and roasted coffee. Surprisingly black. Body isnít as light as expected, though it has ample carbonation itís very smooth. Flavor is a wonderful balance of hoppy and roasted stout, with the rye (I admit, i have a soft spot) done to near perfection. FAR surpassed expectations."

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ Chmielarnia, Warsaw. Pours with medium high beige head, itís rather dark brown than black. In arome there is some coffee, little bit of hops (pine and herbs notes) but there isnít a lot of chocolate, and I was really expecting that. In taste itís rather sweet, but aftertaste is dominated by ashy and earthy notes. What is more, for me this got too light body as for imperial stout. Not bad, but nothing special.
