22oz. Bottle. White cap-2013 vintage? Big whiskey on the nose. Pours solid black with quarter inch khaki head that dissipates quickly, moderate lacing. Flavors of bourbon, vanilla, oats, dark fruits. Fairly boozy, maybe would've been better to cellar for a bit. Overall a great example of the style.

Big. Bold. Some bourbon, sweet malts. No discernible head or retention as expected for the style. Bourbon, caramel, coffee, vanilla. Very good.

Unk bottle date
Pours black with a finger of mocha head. Nice run of foam over the rim. Smells of vanilla. So nice. Really lengths above the regular version. Taste follows with nice notes. Awesome.
Wish I had more. Dry velvet and creme flavors. Man. I have a hard time not drinking more. Further, also want to take it back from my friends.

Poured perhaps a tad warm won’t small, lite brown, fizzy head that quickly settled and no lace. Color is an opaque black brown. Aroma is malt, whiskey, caramel, toffee, leather, coffee, cocoa. Flavor’s like nose, bittersweet tang is in front along with some licorice. Body is good but carbonation is soft. Finish is like flavor, average length, makes a good after dinner drop, if you can handle its weight.

Black body with a brown creamy head. Smells like chocolate ice cream, oats, coffee, dark chocolate. Same taste with notes of the whiskey barrel. Long lasting aftertaste of coffee. Full body, medium carbonation.

gold cap. shared at a tasting with 2 beer buddies. poured dark black with a mocca coloured head. great bourbon smell, vanilla, coconuts, very thick and smooth mouthfeel. reminds me a bit to the parabola (which as better ok) expensive beer, bought here in the netherlands. but it’s worth every penny!

Poured from 22 oz. bottle after cellaring for 10 months.
Opaque, near black with a 1-finger dark brown head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of brandy, molasses, espresso, chocolate, roasted malt, charred wood, dates, prunes, wood duff and caramel.
Taste of molasses, brandy, brown sugar, anise, caramel, dates, prunes, chocolate, espresso and a touch of white pepper. The flavor is amazingly close to that of my girlfriend's peppernut Christmas cookie batter.
Medium/full body and medium carbonation with an interesting smooth yet slightly bubbly mouthfeel.
A superb, deliciously complex beer.
