4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle(gold cap) from GT/Gene thanks guys. Thick and black with a thick, foamy tan head that forms from a vigorous pour. Aroma is fruity/boozy whiskey, bakers chocolate, vanilla, oak some dark roasted coffee. Flavor is hot whiskey up front with bitter chocolate/roast, sweetish caramel and light oak tannin. Full body with mild carbonation and a thick, oily mouth feel. Great beer, heavy on the whisky character but I like that.

Black body with a brown creamy head. Smells like chocolate ice cream, oats, coffee, dark chocolate. Same taste with notes of the whiskey barrel. Long lasting aftertaste of coffee. Full body, medium carbonation.

gold cap. shared at a tasting with 2 beer buddies. poured dark black with a mocca coloured head. great bourbon smell, vanilla, coconuts, very thick and smooth mouthfeel. reminds me a bit to the parabola (which as better ok) expensive beer, bought here in the netherlands. but it’s worth every penny!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from 22 oz. bottle after cellaring for 10 months.
Opaque, near black with a 1-finger dark brown head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of brandy, molasses, espresso, chocolate, roasted malt, charred wood, dates, prunes, wood duff and caramel.
Taste of molasses, brandy, brown sugar, anise, caramel, dates, prunes, chocolate, espresso and a touch of white pepper. The flavor is amazingly close to that of my girlfriend's peppernut Christmas cookie batter.
Medium/full body and medium carbonation with an interesting smooth yet slightly bubbly mouthfeel.
A superb, deliciously complex beer.

About as good as an oatmeal stout can be. Lots of dark chocolate and licorice. Slick on the tongue.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A good solid stout. Great aroma with chocolate and oatmeal. Very dark...I normally love the darker colors, but this poured at the end like motor oil. Still, I’d recommend it.

Bomber poured into snifter. Smells of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, and a little oak. Strong espresso taste with a sweeter chocolate balance finished off with a smooth oak taste. All the beauty of BORIS with an added oaky finish. Awesome brew.

Pitch black colour, tiny mocha head. Aroma of whiskey, chocolate, vanilla, liquorice. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter. Whiskey flavour, dry wood finish. Medium body, very creamy texture, soft to flat carbonation. Very exciting RIS

Bottle. Pours absolute black, very small chocolate milk looking head that dies down to nothing, no lace. Nose is toasty, absolutely chocolate. Tastes smooth, silky chocolate, roasted malt, slightly bitter. Perfect stout.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pours pitch black, thick viscous pour with a small caramel color head. Nose is sooo nice, the barrel aging really stands out. I enjoyed the standard BORIS, but this one is definitely smoother.
