4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to Jstax ! Pours a rich silky black color with a finger of medium khaki foam. The nose is a nice blend of bakers chocolate, spicy fruit, sweet bourbon vanilla, charred barrel. The palate is smooth and layered with nice bourbon character coming through the creamy palate. Almost brandy like with fruit kissed booze, dark cocoa and a smooth mouth coating finish.

pours oily black with a creamy dark beige head, good retention and lacing. burnt caramel, burnt hazelnuts, booze, coffee grinds, some smoky notes, bitter chocolate, very few and dissipating nail polish notes. moderate carbonation, medium to full body - oily, bold resinous and bitter coffee finish. enjoyed - just a bit less than BA-crusher.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle (22 oz). From Rich, thanks! Deep black with a medium thick beige head and light lacing. Aroms is enticing with just the right amount of whisky along with chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, marshmallow, caramel and light fruity notes. Taste is even better with slight sweetness, chocolate, whisky, vanilla, caramel, roasted malt and oak in the finish. Full bodied. Moderate carbonation. Silky mouthfeel. Very complex RIS. Good balance and the whisky is really well integrated. I liked Boris and BA Boris, but this one is even better and bring the beer among the best of the style. Excellent!

Flavor has a ton of toasted marshmellow, molasses, toasted coconut, wood, a little pencil lead, sweet brown sugar, a little cakey. Slightly hot, oily finish. Really really good.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Imperial Stout rating #100! Bottle in trade from jbwimer. Excited for this one. Pours pitch thick viscous black into my Teku glass with a full two finger dark brown head that looks super creamy. Aroma of whiskey, oak, wet dog, oats and graham crackers. Flavor is big sweet chocolate up front with a hint of vanilla and light bourbon. Mid palate had some graham cracker and nuttiness come in, and then it finishes long with vanilla and more graham cracker. Velvety thick viscous body with low carbonation but still a small prickle of bubbles in there. Excellent beer and very glad I got to try it. It has been a whole since I had the base or the regular BA BORIS, but this seems to come off better than both for me. Yum.
