Bottle from the brewery. The whiskey is very much evident in the nose. Quite a bit of banana and vanilla through out. Extremely smooth and creamy. Well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, pours nice black with lovely tan head, smell is mostly whiskey with a hint of roast. The taste is very complex, some whiskey, a nice roast and chocolate flavours, a hint of smoke, this is similar ba Boris but I would take this one over regular ba no doubt. Very nice, worth waiting for.

22 oz bottle. Shared in the line at the 4 Elf Party. The pour is black, inky and oily with a nice thickness. There is a medium tan head that fades quickly leaving a light lace behind. The aromas are delightfully complex. There is a beautiful roasted chocolateyness and the vanilla and bourbon notes are pretty great as well. There is a light licorice or dark fruit note in the nose that definitely comes through in the taste. The bourbon and light roasty smokiness come through a little more on the aftertaste as well. The mouth feel is perfect. It is thick, oily, and just coats amazingly. The flavors linger, and seem to get a little more complex as they sit on the palate.

Pours a thick motor oil like black with a thick mocha head. Aroma of semi sweet chocolate, coffee, bourbon, oak and vanilla. Taste follows, like brownies, bourbon and vanilla coffee. Thick and chewy, gets better and better as it warms!

22oz bottle. Shared with Jay and Pam. Nearly pitch black color. Thin lighter brown head. Leaves very nice lace. Awesome barrel character, cookie dough, brown sugar. Good, chewy, creamy texture. Lighter, creamy carbonation. More dry finish. Awesome moderate sweet taste, nothing close to cloying though. Moderate bitter, too. Alcohol well-hidden. Fantastic, complex stuff. Even Pam (who usually is a wine person) adored this. Dark bitter chocolate. Light hints of coffee, roast. Awesome, awesome stuff. One of the best beers I’ve had in a while.

Bottle thanks to StFun! Dark black pour, little carbonation and an aroma of dark chocolate. Flavor was also a perfect meld of dark chocolate, slight alcohol heat, hints of coffee, peat and mild whiskey. Great beer, I wish these guys would do nothing but focus on their imperial stouts!

Bottle shared on by multiple individuals. Pours a dark brown with a beige head of foam. Boozy bourbon with a sweet toast and char going on. Some marmalade as well. Thick mouthfeel and low to medium carbonation. Very good.

Bottle shared at the Coffee District in Delray Beach, FL. Snifter. Pours a jet black oil with a mocha rim and head. Head gone in 30 seconds. No real lacing. The powerful aroma was dark chocolates, roasted malts, oak, booze, vanilla, nuts and caramel. The taste was just as complex with the oak and dark chocolate permeating first, then came the vanilla, roasted malts, nuts, etc. The finish is very oaked with a soft bourbon booziness. Full body, moderate carbonation, packed full of flavor and aromas. Very well done.
