COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged in bourbon whiskey barrels to add a wonderful complexity to our massive American Double Imperial Stout. This barrel aging imparts memorable buttery, vanilla-like, and savory whiskey character, making this one of our most complex beers we’ve ever brewed. Another testament to our hard work and dedication in bringing our customers the very best.

Köpt på gh, Uppsala. Nästan inget skum. Inte så mycket rostade toner, mycket whisky i både doft och smak. En bra whiskylagrad imp.stout men inget som sticker ut.

Pours black like dirty motor oil with maroon glints at the edges and a dark brown head (seriously, the darkest head I’ve ever seen). Fine, a few mm, and moderate-fast to fade. Aroma is sap, cookie dough, sweet chocolate, vanilla, toffee, some coffee. Body is thick, heavy, medium-fine carbonation, medium-light burn, syrupy-oily. Flavor is cookie dough, butterscotch syrup, huge bourbon, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, dark roasted (burnt) coffee and toast. Overall, a top-of-the-line imperial stout; highlights are the aroma, which is amazing cookie dough, flavor is dark burnt and lots of bourbon barrel. Wow. One of the best I’ve had.

Appearance is pitch black and oily, no head at all despite an aggressive pour. Sucks the light out of the room. Aroma- rich chocolate, fudge, chocolate ice cream, black coffee, leather, vanilla, bourbon, boozy, roast malt, hint of tobacco smoke. Yum. Taste- great stuff. Dark, espresso coffee, bitter chocolate, whisky fudge, vanilla, rum and raisin ice cream, plenty of booze, leather, sweetness, dark, boozy fruit. Thick and chewy mouthfeel, oily, coats the mouth. Slightly sweet, whisky-filled finish. Booze-heavy, but still excellent.

On tap @Biercab Noire black collet epais chocolat. Aromes tres puissant caféRondeur extrême on dirait une crème de café. Les notes boisés sont presentes mais loin d?être dominantes.Un poil écoeurant sur tout un verre.

Pours out of the bottle like motor oil. Pitch black color, so dark no light will ever escape. Very dark dark brown head. Vanilla, oak, bourbon with rich dark chocolate, sweet malty nose. The nose is a bourbon aged beers dream. Low carbonation, sweet, lots of bourbon, rich, heavy mouth with tons of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Smooth as hell. The chocolate and bourbon just linger and linger and linger. Amazingly beautiful BA Impy that I like more than Boris.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s place. Thanks to Daniel. Really dark black viscous pour with a really dark tan head. Aroma is big robust roast, coco, dark choc, vanilla, little liquorice. Flavour is composed of full on tangy dark choc, rich dark choc, coffee, bitter roast coffee. Really rich and tangy in the finish . palate is fill and velvety, moderate carbonation. Sweet and some salt in the finish. Really enjoyable.

Bottle split at Bruce’s, thanks to Daniel, 06/03/15. Pitch black with a dirty tan covering that dissipates edgeward. Nose is rich dark fruits, spice, bourbon tones, molasses, dark chocolate. Taste comprises charr, earthy rost, dates, raisens, spice, molasses, bourbon, burnt biscuit, chocolate, liquorice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close. Ok impy, a touch harsh and not that well joined up for me at times.
