COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged in bourbon whiskey barrels to add a wonderful complexity to our massive American Double Imperial Stout. This barrel aging imparts memorable buttery, vanilla-like, and savory whiskey character, making this one of our most complex beers we’ve ever brewed. Bomber shared by Bvery, thanks buddy! Dark brown pour. Roasty bourbon aroma. Taste follows, a little dry for me but pretty good.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate dark chocolate, molasses, anise, oak, and a hint of bourbon. It’s a dark brown with no transparency and a small khaki head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. The flavor starts with a moderate dark chocolate and light molasses. There’s some mild roast in the background. The finish has light oak, anise, coffee, a touch of bourbon. It’s medium-full bodied with mild carbonation.

Bottle. Full, meaty body, full of dark chocolate, pumpernikel and cream, with vanilla, roast and bourbon playing the supporting roles. Intense and perfectly smooth. Expensive but absolutely awesome.

Klein beetje maar helaas. Mooi zwart, weinig karamel schuim. Ruikt naar de Bourbon, en alcohol. Smaakt gebrand, chocola. Met complexe Bourbon erdoor. Lekker!

650ml bottle enjoyed @ home. Pours pitch black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, whiskey, caramel, dark dried fruits and some vanilla. Flavour is sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish is woody, fruity and roasted. Nice!

22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Batch #1, sounds like 2009 from some researching. Trade from a friend, thanks Daniel! Black with close to a finger of tan head. Aromas of oak, dark chocolate, a little raisin, caramel, some booze and whiskey. Tastes of dark chocolate, bits of dark fruit, roasty notes, sweet whiskey, some booze. Full body with a dry finish.
