COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged in bourbon whiskey barrels to add a wonderful complexity to our massive American Double Imperial Stout. This barrel aging imparts memorable buttery, vanilla-like, and savory whiskey character, making this one of our most complex beers we’ve ever brewed. Another testament to our hard work and dedication in bringing our customers the very best.

Poured from a fresh bottle into a Hoppin Frog snifter. Appearance is like old engine oil with a one finger tan head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, and whiskey. Taste is chocolate, vanilla, coffee, whiskey, licorice. There is also a backend hoppiness and slight smoke. Palate is incredibly smooth and fills the mouth with a nice viscous presence. If you haven’t had this you need to find a bottle. Well worth your time and effort. Cheers.

Piękna drobna, brązowa piana. Przypomina spienione lody czekoladowe. Opada zupełnie. W smaku ciemne słody, wyraźny chmiel, lekka kwaskowośc na końcu. Alkohol bardzo dobrze zamaskowany, ale przyjemnie rozgrzewa.

Big chocolate and bourbon aromas. Silky, chocolaty flavors with vanilla and bourbon undertones on the finish. As good as I imaginied it would be!

In short: a mighty rounded Imp. Stout..
Pours black with nice little very tan head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Liquor, wood, roasty, coffee and cocholate aromas. Medium body, flat carbonation, viscous texture. Taste is quite bitter, some vanilla, chocolate, coffee, liquor notes. Very smooth and well balanced, alcohol noticeable but well integrated. Ends bitter and quite dry. Really enjoyable and lovely.

Bottle. Thanks to Cerveceria Cimmeria. Big but really rounded imperial Stout! Pours black with very tan head. Short head, no lacing. Aroma is sweet liquor, wood, roasty, coffee and chocolate. Medium body, flat carbonation, viscous smooth texture. Taste is quite bitter, some vanilla, chocolate, coffee, liquor notes. Very smooth and well balanced, alcohol noticeable but well integrated. Ends bitter and quite dry. Really enjoyable and lovely. Better than BORIS BA

Draught. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, oats and bourbon. Taste is pretty much like the aroma - roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, oats, licorice, love and bourbon. Full creamy body and low carbonation. The aftertaste is quite roasted and has lots of bourbon in it. However, unlike most barrel aged beers it actually works quite well here. It feels very balanced. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 ounce bottle from the source into a Hoppin Frog brandy snifter. Pours a thick, viscous black with a thin, khaki colored head of foam. Spotty lacing. The aroma has a big whiskey presence, but it melds well with the roast, dark fruit, and leather of the base beer. The vanilla and oak aspects of the barrel come through more in the taste and balance the base beer out nicely. Thick, chewy mouthfeel with a subtle carbonation. Delicious beer.

Draft at the testing room. Pours pitch black with thin mocha head. Aroma of oak, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, roast. Full body, really creamy, slightly oily texture. A bit hot with strong bourbon nots but a noticeably fuller body when tried next to BORIS
