The aroma was like vermouth in the spice notes, and very boozy. The taste was malt and spicy with a lot of nutmeg, and still had an interesting vermouth taste. Poured a dark brown with a small head. Was a little watery, but very boozy.

Normally i am not a fan of pumpkin beers, not a fan of pumpkin or the spices. First sip on this is a lotlof vanilla, touch or bourbon. Reminds me of a barrel aged old ale or something. Decent. As this warms, you get more of the pumpkin spice and it becomes more pumpkin which i did not enjoy. Overall decent.

What an extremely weird beer. Very spicey, with notes of cinnamon, some ginger and of course pumpkin. Has some whiskey sharpness as well.

Surprisingly I really liked this beer. It has a really good flavor. A little strong at first, but then once I got used to it I really liked it.

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has a lot of ginger, pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. The flavor is the same with the addition of some bourbon, maple and oak. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle share at the Syb Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Snifter pour. A beautiful deep golden amber with slight haze. One finger, solid head and some minor lacing. The aroma hits like a steamroller. Pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and whiskey. Lots of whiskey. And the taste? Whiskey. It has a huge whiskey presence with the bold spices hitting just as hard from the aroma. It is almost like drinking a spiced liquor. Medium full body. Booze finish. Warms the cockles of your heart.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. This is a real treats. Notes of cinnamon and nutmeg blending with the rich vanilla and burnt sugars of the barrel. This is the best pumpkin beer I have had to date. I wish I had purchased another bottle.

On tap @ Beer Temple, next to the regular version. Amber color ( a tad bit lighter than regular?), slightly hazy. Off white head. Aroma’s: vanilla/oak, whisky, pumpkin, a bit of raisins, quite well balanced. Flavor is noticeable less sweet than the regular version, but still a bit, also a light fruity tartness. Medium bodied. Finishes with spices and wood. The barrel aging does add something to this beer, but I think this type of beer is not really suitable for barrel aging.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours hazy amber with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma of pumpkin, vegetables, nutmeg, light cinnamon, massive wood, vanilla, fruits, fudge and alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, woody notes hanging around with big vegetal and fruit aspects. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Great stuff!

Pour out of 22 oz bottle picked up in Fort Collins, clear orange-amber pour with thin white head, goes away quick. Aroma comes at me before I finish pouring, big pumpkin pie aroma with lots of brown sugar, cookie, cracker notes, hints of spice with cinnamon, cream, hints of clove, nice pumpkin notes in there, the whiskey plays in well with a slight addition of some oak and vanilla. Taste is not quite as good, but nice sweet vanilla and brown sugar, hints of whiskey going into cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, slight ginger notes, hints of caramel, slight pumpkin and bready notes, finishing fairly sweet, slightly oaky. One of the better pumpkin brews I’ve had.
