Aroma is the usual suspects, nutmeg, cinnamon, all spice, pie crust, pumpkin, lighter caramel malts, barrel character and somewhat of a citrus acidity. Medium body with more spices and light pumpkin and a Kentucky Gentleman like whiskey finish. It’s alright.

22 oz. bottle from One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Hazy amber color with thick head in the snifter. Nose is a lot of spice. Vanilla, funky white grapes, cinnamon and toffee. The flavor really is NOT pumpkin dominate, lots of spice, nutmeg, cinnamon and big vanilla notes. caramel and toffee is a big player in the malt base with different type of whiskey barrel in the finish. To be the barrel is more like a wine note rather then a whiskey however, I really don’t know how old the bottle is. The changes in the beer make me think that this bottle has some age on it. However, I really enjoy the different flavor profile. Nice medium body with correct level of Co2.

Normally i am not a fan of pumpkin beers, not a fan of pumpkin or the spices. First sip on this is a lotlof vanilla, touch or bourbon. Reminds me of a barrel aged old ale or something. Decent. As this warms, you get more of the pumpkin spice and it becomes more pumpkin which i did not enjoy. Overall decent.

What an extremely weird beer. Very spicey, with notes of cinnamon, some ginger and of course pumpkin. Has some whiskey sharpness as well.

Surprisingly I really liked this beer. It has a really good flavor. A little strong at first, but then once I got used to it I really liked it.

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has a lot of ginger, pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. The flavor is the same with the addition of some bourbon, maple and oak. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle share at the Syb Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Snifter pour. A beautiful deep golden amber with slight haze. One finger, solid head and some minor lacing. The aroma hits like a steamroller. Pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and whiskey. Lots of whiskey. And the taste? Whiskey. It has a huge whiskey presence with the bold spices hitting just as hard from the aroma. It is almost like drinking a spiced liquor. Medium full body. Booze finish. Warms the cockles of your heart.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. This is a real treats. Notes of cinnamon and nutmeg blending with the rich vanilla and burnt sugars of the barrel. This is the best pumpkin beer I have had to date. I wish I had purchased another bottle.

On tap @ Beer Temple, next to the regular version. Amber color ( a tad bit lighter than regular?), slightly hazy. Off white head. Aroma’s: vanilla/oak, whisky, pumpkin, a bit of raisins, quite well balanced. Flavor is noticeable less sweet than the regular version, but still a bit, also a light fruity tartness. Medium bodied. Finishes with spices and wood. The barrel aging does add something to this beer, but I think this type of beer is not really suitable for barrel aging.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours hazy amber with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma of pumpkin, vegetables, nutmeg, light cinnamon, massive wood, vanilla, fruits, fudge and alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, woody notes hanging around with big vegetal and fruit aspects. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Great stuff!
