This poured poured a lighter brown color with a beige head. Aroma was light barrel notes, a decent amount of spices, mainly ginger, and some caramel. Flavor was spice dominted, but not overpowering, very nice texture to this one too. Almost tated like dipping a gingerbread cooking in whiskey. Nice christmas beer for sure.

Bottle - courtesy of GandGKevin. Thanks! Copper-ruby pour with a short tan head. Strong cinnamon and spice aroma. Smells almost like seasonal potpourri. It’s a bit over the top. There’s some rich malt, and chewy caramel underneath however. Taste is much better. There’s a rich gingerbread flavor, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, sweet malt, light vanilla, cookies and light booze. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Finishes with a potent spice flavor profile (big cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, mostly), gingerbread cookies, caramel, brown sugar, sweet alt notes and light booze. Definitely reminds me of lightly frosted holiday cookies. The aroma is a bit annoying but the rest makes up for it. tasty beer!

Bottle thanks from secret santa. Pour has a dark amber color and a ring of head on the glass. Aroma has holiday spice, nutmeg, brown sugar, wood, and malts. Mouth feel is medium and there is low carbonation. Flavor centers on the spices but the beer stands up to it for the most part. Nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, dark fruit, wet barrels, and vanilla. Not something I would gravitate towards but it does all work out and the barrel treatment is right on.

Pours sort of a murky amber color with a small off-white head. Nose is quite fruity with lots of plums and raisins. It’s also very spicy. Great nutmeg, all spice, and cinnamon. Plenty of caramel, brown sugar, and some vanilla. The flavor is rich and sweet. Huge caramel and brown sugar flavors, tons of dark fruit notes, and a wonderful spice character. The cinnamon and all spice really come through nicely.

22oz bomber from Herchick poured into a snifter. Thanks Bob! Pours a very dark ruby, almost brown with almost no head. Aroma is mostly whisky with a good dose of Christmas spice! Taste is light sweet. Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and other winter spices along with dried apricot and pineapple...and of course whisky. Reminds me a lot of cold glogg, just the way my grandma used to make it. Medium bodied with a sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, awesome. I’m going to have to find a bottle of this around Christmas to share with the Swedish side of the family.

Bottle: The aroma consists of peppermint, cinnamon, ginger, and clove, and faint whiskey. It pours a slightly hazy reddish-orange with a small off-white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel/toffee. The finish has peppermint, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, and light whiskey. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.
