COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On a recent trip through Belgium visiting the monastery breweries, we discovered an excellent barrel aged ale that had an incredibly satisfying flavor combination. Aging in oak barrels added a memorable richness, that we seek to achieve with this barrel aged Belgian-style barley wine-style ale. Being the ideal celebration beer to release on our 5-year anniversary, Barrel Aged Naked Evil is fermented with both British and Belgian yeasts and aged in whiskey barrels for a lightly spicy twist on this old-world beer style. Sweet malt flavors will become smoother and rich dark fruit characters will build with time to add a wonderful complexity and depth of flavor.

22 ounce bottle poured an amber color with aromas of toffee, bourbon, caramel, and some light dark fruit. Flavors are the same, dark pitted fruit within some toffee, and caramel added with alight bourbon aftertaste. A solid ba beer, would be interesting if I sat on the bottle.

Location: 22 oz bottle from dbarnold, 10/6/13

Aroma: The nose is sweet and boozy, dark fruit, bourbon, caramel, and a little molasses
Appearance: It pours a clearish orange color with a pretty no head or lace
Flavor: Heavy sweet, with molasses, caramel, and dark fruit, booze is lighter than in the nose
Palate: The body is full, it is quite sticky, with a fairly flat feel, and a lengthy, sweet finish
Overall Impression: So over-the-top sweet and sticky that it is kind of difficult to drink. I wouldn’t want a full bomber of this for sure. As something to split, it is alright, but not an out-and-out winner for me.

Pours an amber-orange with a short white head. The aroma has dark fruit, malt, bourbon, oak, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet malt and dark fruit and malt up front with a sweet middle of bourbon and vanilla and a bittersweet oaky finish over a medium, almost flat body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle shared with the group (November 2011). Pours a clear amber/copper color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big sweet caramel and toffee malt, vanilla, barrel, dark fruit, almost like an alcoholic Dum Dum sucker in a bottle. Sticky and moderately viscous. The first batch was a real treat.

Bottle shared by Jer. Cloudy copper pour with a small off-white head. Really rich fruit, maple syrup, vanilla, and whiskey aromas. Sweet caramel, toffee, and molasses. Great sweetness to the flavor as well. Caramel, maple syrup, and tons of fruit. Raisin, molasses, toffee, and whiskey. Love this stuff.
