COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our IPA and Stout converge for a really great flavor combination to create a rich and robust black & tan. The assertive hoppy character of our Hoppin to Heaven IPA is perfectly complimented by the intense deep roasted flavor of our BORIS Oatmeal Imperial Stout. Two great tastes that taste even better together.

Black color. Light brown head. Hop aroma towards dried citrus and pine. Taste is much of the same, combined with some vinous notes as well. Getting a hint of licorice towards the end. Quite enjoyable.

22 oz bottle purchase at One Stop Market about 2 months ago. Aroma shows roasted malts and an assertive amount of citrus hops I was not expecting. Bold. Flavor has a good amount of the Boris with the citrus/grapefruit bitterness coming through in the finish. The base is Boris for sure with the IPA lingering and giving balance. Not sure I would have blended these two beers together but the result is really nice. This brewery continues to put out a nice product.

Roasty and grapefruity hop are the aromas that immediately come to my nose. Followed by chocolate & just a touch of toasty caramel. Flavor is well balanced overall, maybe just a bit too well. Although, a little IPA bitterness sneaks into the finish. Chocolatey & roasty flavors present in moderation, as is a light grapefruity hop, but it’s up front and doesn’t really last into the finish.

Poured from a bomber. Pours a dark brown with a thin khaki colored head of foam. Aroma is fairly hoppy with fruity notes dominating a smooth malty oaty backbone. Taste is a lot like a black IPA in bitterness and roasty notes. Good malt body. Very nice.

Bottle sample at a He’Brew tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Very dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma of piney hops, slightly "green", roastiness and some chocolate. Bittersweet flavor, roasty, with chocolate, piney hops and a nice bitter finish. Rounded mouthfeel. A good one.
