3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BMMillsy (681) - Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Bottle to tulip, pours dark brown with a small kahki head. My first black and tan (other than Yuengling). I am assuming this bottle is a little older than is optimal, but that's OK. Aroma is really interesting. Pine and citrus up front with string sweet roasted malt notes and hints of chocolate and molasses. Flavor is big sweet notes, followed by lingering roast. Only a bit of bitter pine, and it is just a bit overly sweet, but not undrinkable. Medium slick mouthfeel with adequate carbonation. Cool beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 watson1977 (2288) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 30, 2013
Pours black with a thick tan head...nice lacing and retention. Aroma has some roast and citrus and light hoppy spice...hint of tea. Flavor has notes of coffee and molasses with some earthy pine and light citrus accents. Mouthfeel is full and creamy with a roasty/piney dry finish that lingers to burnt. Drinks mostly like a nice BIPA.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 daje (1291) - NORWAY - APR 16, 2013
Bottle, february 16th 2013. Dark brown body, almost black in appearance, big tanned head. Aroma is roasty with fruity hops, leather and caramel. Taste is more hopforward with citrus and pine, with a distinct sweet and roasty touch, and a strong alcohol taste. Quite nice body, thick and not too carbonated, with a good stouty roasted finish

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TET (1094) - FINLAND - MAR 23, 2013
A colabrown beer with a dense, big and beige head. Aroma is succesfully mix of roastiness and aromatic hops, liquirice, chocolate, citrusfruits and hint of lactose. Taste is bitter, liquirice, roasted malts, IPA stays in the background, some citrusfruits. The aftertaste is quite dry and roasted. Medium bodied, quite smooth carbonation, nice to drink. Quite nice, roasted beer and IPA gives a refreshning touch.

Svært som natten. Lite skum. Masse smak av b.l.a. sjokolade. Litt brent og søt. En litt spesiell IPA.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 nilsas (68) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2013
Et imponerende øl for en som vanligvis ikke er så glad i IPA. God frisk lukt, dyp nesten svart på farge. Rik på smak og fylde. En gledelig opplevelse.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 AWISLguy (667) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Bomber from Fischmans shared with ck1, thanks beermenus! Pours a very dark brown with a brownish head. Some lacing. Aroma has chocolate, roast and some slight citrus. Taste is of chocolate with licorice and some fruit. More chocolate fudge at the end. ck1 a 14 as well. Hard to tell the age - the hops may have gone - or BORIS may just have been too overwhelming (as it is) given aging time.
