COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BORIS #100 was made with the finest English Pale Ale malt instead of our usual American malt, to celebrate brewing the 100th. batch of BORIS The Crusher Oatmeal-Imperial Stout. This adds a slightly sweeter and truly traditional flavor for this truly bodacious English-style Imperial Stout, our flagship beer! Made in extremely limited quantites.

Has a blue cap.

Pours black with ruby hues and a thin creamy tan head. Aroma has burnt roasty malts and dark fruits. Flavor follows suit and adds layers of tobacco and molasses...boozy. mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a burnt bitter and dry finish.

Belmont bottle probably about a year old or so now. Typical stout pour with a small tan head that quickly disappears. Fairly mild aroma of dark malt and molasses. Odd to say it, but a nice, mellow, easy-drinking impy stout. Finishes with lots of chocolate, coffee and a hint of booze.

Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Good complex roasted sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of long duration. Bottle at 52 F. Poured a black color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate roasted chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Good complex roasted flavor with a medium burnt bittersweet finish of long duration. Very good complex brew.

22 ounce bottle into snifter; bottled in late Fall 2011, so this is a year old now. Pours pitch black color with a small dark tan head with decent retention that reduces to a thin lace that lingers. Slight spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, toffee, toast, coffee, molasses, bread, light char, oatmeal, and light dark fruits. Damn nice aromas with good balance, strength, and complexity; can definitely see the bready toast character from the English malts. Taste of big dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, toffee, coffee, molasses, light char, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, oatmeal, and light tobacco. Light roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, caramel, toast, molasses, toffee, biscuit, dark fruit, oatmeal, and light tobacco on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance, complexity, and robustness of flavors; with a very pronounced malt backbone and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a creamy, thick, and slick mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Imperial stout! Great balance and complexity of highly robust flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering as expected.

Aroma- nice sweetness, oatmeal, chocolate ,coffee, roasted notes Appearance- black with a fair amount of an off-white head Taste- coffee upfront, followed by roasted notes, caramel sweetness, oatmeal, semi-dry finish Palate- nice body, depth, and mouthfeel Overall- I enjoyed this quite a bit more than the original BORIS. It was sweeter, smoother, and toned down on the hops and dryness.

22 oz. bottle, sent from jmikolich (thanks a lot, Jim), pours jet black with a brown head. Nose is very heavy, with lots of roasted malts, oatmeal, feint English malt tones, and some chocolate. Flavour brings out lots of chalky chocolate malts, bitter English roasted malt and a considerable hoppy character. Full-bodied, very roasted and very hoppy for an impie, also a bit of wood. Inferior to the other versions of BORIS, but still excellent.

Pours black with low disappearing brown head Aromas of sweet malts, chocolate, alcohol, hints of liqourize and coffee Medium bodied, nice medium bitter ending, good sweetness. More coffee, vanilla and some liqourize in taste. Could a bit more full bodied but overall very good

Borefts warm up at Bier Temple, Amsterdam. Opaque black - brown beer, little dark tan head. A little sweet chocolate malt. Loads of sweet bubblegum esters. Mild fruits. Semi dry finish with more chocolatey malt. Not my favourite Boris - it’s a good beer but to much with the esters.

Bottle. Aged in my fridge since last christmas. Aroma is roasty and a bit earthy. The flavour has a earthy front and then it finishes with a nice full bodied roasty chocolate and coffee stout. The english yeast is a bit there but the fullness of boris comes through

Bottle at Haand. Dark maroon color, brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, burnt toast. Taste is rich, roasty chocolate with a bit of espresso. Nice.
