BORIS #100 was made with the finest English Pale Ale malt instead of our usual American malt, to celebrate brewing the 100th. batch of BORIS The Crusher Oatmeal-Imperial Stout. This adds a slightly sweeter and truly traditional flavor for this truly bodacious English-style Imperial Stout, our flagship beer! Made in extremely limited quantites.

Has a blue cap.

Bottle @ Haand Beer Festival. Aroma: hint of oak and (bourbon?) from the barrel, in addition to vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Creamy texture. The sweetness is nicely balanced agaist the hop in the finish.

Bottle purchased at the brewery about 1.5 years earlier, so this has some age on it. Pours midnight black. Oily residue with very little head or lacing. Sweet molasses aroma with some coffee. Mouthfeel is dark and slick but very smooth. Taste is dark and roasty. Sweet but not cloyingly so. Very well balanced. Lots of "stouty" flavors here. Very buttery with coffee and very mild oak. Real good beer.

22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Thanks to my friend Daniel for the trade. Pours a thick motor oily black with minimal head, mostly a half finger tan ring. Aromas of roast, dark chocolate, vanilla, a bit of booze. Tastes of sweet dark fruit, raisins, dark chocolate, a little soy sauce, light floral hops. Full body with a dry finish. Thick oily mouthfeel, medium-low carbonation. Nice variant of BORIS.

22 oz bottle from notes. Pour dark brown to black in color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma of has roasted malt, chocolate, and espresso with a bit more sweetness than the regular version. First taste reveals chocolate, coffee, molasses and sweeter malt; this gives way to the oatmeal, some hops, and alcohol. All of these flavors are well balanced and make for an enjoyable beer. Just a bit sweeter and not as roasty as the original.

Chocolatey malt, sweet, roasty, light boozy character, rich. Deep dark black opaque color, fairly thick, small light brown head. Quite roasty, chocolately, fairly bitter from chocolate and hops, decent amount but smooth alcohol.

Bottle shared by DrewFace. Aroma is a rich chocolate and cocoa. Pour is pitch black with a minimal brown ring of bubbles. Lots of chocolate as it warms. Taste is a slightly roasted bitter up front. Just short of sharp, almost a light sourness, but very faint. Mouthfeel is full and rich but not cloying. Moderate to low carbonation breaks it up well. Very good.

Had to rate this as my 100. This Eng Imp is wonderful. The rich malts are such a big part of this 5/5 brew. Real great head and carbonation. The flavor is slightly sweet and so roasty to balance. Such a great tasting brew A++++

Bottle @ Steve’s house. Thanks to a chill Ohio trader for sending me this. Pours a deep brown appearance with a thin dark head. A lot more spicy aroma than the last Boris variant. A bit minty, ginger, dark chocolate, caramel nose. Body is a bit flabby. Slightly piney, dark chocolate, twangy toffee flavor. The body is surprisingly flabby. Drinks pretty good but I think I prefer normal Boris better.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, dark black pour with tan head, thanks Aaron! Dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, caramel, hints of oak, vanilla, hints of grain, cocoa powder, touch of grain, hints of grain. Taste is a mix of dark chocolate, roast, coffee, nice caramel, hints of grain, dark fruit, finishing sweet, very dark fruit forward.
