4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle courtesy of Ughsmash. Pours a thick pitch black with a dull-colored tan head that dissipates rater quickly into a light lacing. Warm alcohol nose with tons of chocolate and coffee. There’s also a sweet, fruity, licorice note. Sharp chocolate flavors with almost no carbonation. The alcohol isn’t as strong tasting as the aroma lead me believe it would be. Finishes with a sort of dull plum or raisin flavor. Very nice level of sweetness without going over the line.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
An oily-looking pour of straight black, light-capturing stance. Fading light tan head leaves little behind. Natural dark chocolate is the aroma’s main feature. Limited fruitiness, but a certain grapey nuance can be felt amongst the clearly roast-oriented imperial stout nature. Little hoppiness, but the malt’s darkness brings enough bitterness. It is actually quite sweet, but again, the roast removes that impression from our concerns. Thick-bodied and very smoothly carbonated. Remarkably well roasted, but I’d prefer more fruit presence. Undeniably solid impy, well constructed, but not necessarily exceptional.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Black beer with a light quick brown head. Thick strong aroma; oily licorice, molasses and oatmeal. One of the thickest bodies I have experienced. Like a spoon of yogurt. Flavour is like 85% cocoa chocolate and hops. Strong bitter chocolate, coffee and hops. Leaves some sweet residue on the lips and tongue.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
I really enjoyed this beer. Smells of coffee and oatmeal dominate. Black pour with a tan head that did not last very long. Smooth mouthfeel with wonderful coffee and oatmeal flavors. Nice finish. Would recommend.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deeelicious. Pours a dark brown more or less black with small tan head around the brim. Nose was big time coffee, dark chocolate, nutty, cherry and some other notable fruit, and of course a hint of oat. Flavor is similar, with the alcohol taking a slightly larger role. Pretty delicous.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle. pours an opaque black with a thin tan head that sticks around and laces a bit. chocolate coffee roast malt smell with a note of oatmeal cookies. big bitter chocolate taste with more oatmeal cookie and some dark cherries. moderately bitter patter and some sweetness, but not enough to be cloying. lots of alcohol warming, which is really the only hint that this is this big a beer. fair amount of carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. definitely a tasty imperial stout.

GABF. A great heavy stout with a roasted nut texture and overcooked toasty taste, caramel like. A full body with a small tan head. Awesome.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from dra19. Pours black as night with thin brownish head. Aroma of Oreos with a hint of urine. In the mouth, the first impression is of overpowering sweetness, though thankfully later swallows weren’t so one-sided. After my tongue had acclimated to the sweetness, I was able to taste the more interesting parts of this brew, coffee, chocolate, roasted whatever. The finish is dominated by alcohol. I guess I can see what others like in this brew, but I wasn’t my speed.
