This pours so black that a flashlight can not be seen AT all lit on the other side of the glass! Very Black...I mean its black.....black hole black....don’t fall in black. Suprised at the sweetness of the scent, mixed with a light coffee tone. Taste is smooth with some alcohol coming through. This is great stuff....not my favorite but very good.....and did I mention it is jet black...

Corked bottle at Plan B, Copenhagen
Black color; the head, brown, disappears quickly. Mixed aroma of caramel, roasted malt, light phenol and paper too. Good body, not too thick, with a strong flavor, in the order, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, liquorice. Correct bitterness. The alcohol can be perceived. Good but nothing surprising.

Bomber acquired via trade with GCurlow. Thanks, Grant! Pours out pitch black with a big ol fluffy tan head. Aroma is hefty with roasted coffee, dark chocolate, caramel malt, maybe a hint of nuttiness. Flavor is all roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate with a bit of alcohol and caramel. Full bodied, flavorful, creamy and delicious.

Bomber from Belmont Party Supply. Man oh man what a power beer. The pour is opaque with little to no head, and the aroma is that of roasted malts and coffee. This is one complex, big beer. Flavors of deeply roasted malts, dark roasted coffee and dark, bitter chocolate. This beer finishes very dry with some alcohol warmth to round out this very full bodied behemouth. An intense, tasty brew BORIS has made all of Ohio and especially Akron proud!

Bottle (22oz). via trade with MrBendo. Rating #3700 - finally time to open this long-cellared ’06? bottle. God DAMN that looks great - oily, black (hints of red on the pour, opaque in the glass) - thick, creamy dark brown lasting head - what’s not to love? Deep roast coffee aroma, dry, herbal, oily, nutty, hints of cream and a bit of cherry - not much alcohol aroma. Taste- wow - this is amazing - like a nutty, herbal latte, soft, balanced, slightly acidic - just sublime, age has really done this one proud. Creamy, almost frothy mouthfeel, mild carbonation and acidity, a smooth balanced roast/bitter moderate alcohol finish, long, leaves a wonderful creamy roast aftertaste. Wow.

I drank this from the bottle into a chalice. It pours dark dark black with a dark tan head that rises about one finger, but it lasts a long time. This is a very carbonated beer, it bubbles everytime you take a sip. The lacing is great and sticky, but it sticks in small amounts. I’m not a big fan of smell, the overwhelming flavor is alcohol, mixed in with chocolate and coffee. The taste is very complex with a ligtht chocolate taste on the front end and black coffee bitter strong finish. I think its a little too bitter for my liking.
