Taster at Zeebra II. Totally black pour with a small but thick dark brown head, average retention on my taster, light lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, wood, ash, a bit of oats. Taste of dark roasted malts, strong coffee, oats, with a good bitterness, a bit of alcohol. Medium thick body, good carbonation, sticky palate. Very good.

Pours an opaque, extremely dark brown and with perhaps the darkest orange-caramelized brown color I’ve seen in a head. Smooth, creamy, and bumpy appearance. A lot of chocolate in the aroma. Lighter coffee, smoke, and olive notes. Smooth, viscous texture. Powerful flavors of chocolate, smoke, a bit of sour wood, some unflavored tobacco, and lingering bitterness at the finish.

Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, coffee and roast. The taste is dominated by the bourbon. Some chocolate, toffee, coffee and roast in the background. The DORIS is so much better.

Kolsvart tjock vätska med mellanstort mörkbrunt skum. Doftar massor med kaffe och choklad! Smaken är fyllig med kaffe, choklad, vanilj och väldigt rostat! Mycket bra öl! !

Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, dark malts, some roastyness, coffee and dark chocolate. Tastes about the same: malts, dark malts, roastyness, some alcohol, chocolate quite heavily. Medium to full body and carbonation.

Bottle with Martin ahead of BOX’s Brazilian Birthday Bonanza. I remember drinking one of these with Benh some time ago also. Pure tidy so it is. Pours oily Black with an inspiring Brown head. Aroma is boozy chocolate and roasty coffee. Rich flavour with a weighty, robust body. Chocolatey warmth. It’s a real beaut. Drank this one immediately after the Bourbon County Stout. I reckon BCS pips it. Only just though...
