Bottle from Bierkompass. Pours pitch black, has nearly no head at all. Contains armoas of malt, burned malt, chocolate, barley, toffee, which are pleasant, but don’t stand out too much. Has a very oily, creamy, soft mouthfeel, aromas of licorice, coffee, forest berries, very dark roasted bread, chocolate and sugar. Gets sweeter to the finish, with a long lingering aftertaste, very well balanced. Has nearly no present carbonation, gives the beer an enormous, big character, with no distractions. Taste is never too bitter or too aggressive, but very well balanced at every moment. Ends with a long lasting, bittersweet coffee finish, which gives the beer a unique, loveable finish.

Poured from big bottle. Aroma of toasted malt, dry cocoa, licorice, honey. Stout black with ridiculously dark tan head. Cocoa and oat flavor with licorice, honey, raisin and just a wee bit of alcohol. Creamy, smooth feel - they must have used tons of oatmeal for this to be so drinkable. Well done.

Tsekouratos (109) - Nea Filadelfeia, Athens, GREECE - DEC 21, 2013
Guest tap at The Local Pub, Athens Greece. Darkness black color with a wonderful brown head!! Aromas were subtle at first, but when the beer got warmer.. BOOM!!! In your face!! chocolate, coffee, lots of malts, maybe some liqourice. The taste was excellent, especially at warmer temperatures! Tones of malts and chocolate, coffee, liqourice, oat, some alcohol notes just biting the tongue, maybe some dark fruits! Really complex beer with an extremely pleasant and long aftertaste, somewhat bitter from the coffe and chocolate!!! Body was full, mouthfeel was great and the carbonation was low, just enough to complement the body and the aromas!!! Excellent beer!!!!!!!

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Pitch black colour with a medium big thick brown creamy head. Aroma is complex. Roasty notes with malts, coffee, dark chocolate and liqorice. Flavour is lightly bitter. Lots of coffee and liqorice at first but the grainy oatmeal and syrup evolves. Lingering aftertaste. A very nice imperial stout.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2013 Thanks to Chaney (again!) for this extra. Poured to NB globe. A: Black stout pours to gain no head, but vigorous stirring provides a minimal dark mocha film. Little visible indicators of carbonation. No translucency whatsoever. S: Dark chocolate, nutty, lightly woody. Somewhat sweet with graham, dark toffee, oats, licorice. These all come together and remind me of almond rocha candy. T: Dark, malty, cocoa nibs, slight bitterness. Fired graham, nuts, toffee. The flavors resonate for minutes after finish. A nearly milky flavor in here. M: Heavy, low carbonation. Slicks the tongue. Good. D: If this was sold around here, I would absolutely have a few around at all times. Very good beer. Pours a dark black color with minimal brown head. Smells if malts and chocolate and tastes like smokey fruits and chocolate with some wood. Very smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong, malty aroma, with molasses, pipe tobacco, raisins, and some alcohol. Bittersweet flavor with coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and raisins. Roast coffee bitterness and a fair amount of alcohol in the finish. Not for everyone--it’s named "The Crusher" for a reason--but a fine choice for a cold night.
