FROM NOTES: August 27, ’12. From a 22 ounce bomber into a snifter. A: Lots of roasted malts up front. Hints of coffee, sweet molasses, and a touch of milk chocolate. A slight hoppiness finishes it off. A: Pours a thick motor oil black with a thin, deep brown chocolate head that quickly fades into minimal lacing. T: Coffee at first, followed by chocolate and subdued oatmeal notes. A slight alcohol burn shows up in the finish. P: Full-bodied mouthfeel, thick and rich. O: A fine R.I.S. but the flavors don’t stand out as particularly interesting or special, though they are pleasant in their own regard. The alcohol stands out a bit too much.

Tap at Fermentoren. Very roasted aroma, malty; riped fruits, brown suger. The flavours starts sweet but finish very bitter. The body is full and the texture is creamy. Soft carbonation. Nice one...

Butelka z datą: ??? (stała w lodówce ok.1,5 roku)
WYGLĄD: Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzyste. Piana drobna, średniej wysokości.
AROMAT: Intensywny. Pralinki, karmel, nuty chleba razowego, kawa. W tle rodzynki i śliwka suszona.
SMAK: Półwytrawne. Kawowe ze słodkim karmelowo-palonym posmakiem. Alkohol dobrze ukryty.
OGÓLNIE: Może kiedyś zrobiłoby na mnie większe wrażenie, ale teraz już nie. Choć nadal mówimy tutaj o bardzo dobrym RIS-ie.

Bottle purchased at the Hoppy pub in Thessaloniki-Greece, consumed almost 2 years later. Black pour, brownish foam. Nose: rich choccolate, coffee, some cream too. Mouth: nice! Roasted malts, hops, a bit more flat after almost 2 years aging but easier to drink. Nice!

Malziger, milder weicher Röstantrunk. Süffig, angesichts des Stils und Alkoholgehalts ungewöhnlich. Malzig herber Mittelteil, Andeutungen des Alkoholgehalts, leicht holzig. Gut. 12/10/11/11/11/11
