COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BORIS the Crusher made with coffee from the Hippie Coffee Company in Canton, OH. Freshly roasted coffee flavor and aroma add satisfying levels of complexity to this robust stout, perfectly complimenting its intense, rich roasted character. Cold infusion with whole coffee beans keeps the bitterness low and the flavor high!

Black colour, tan head. Aroma of coffee, espresso, caramel, roasted malts. Coffee flavour, light milk, quite sweet. Finish coffee, and then BORIS is coming out.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of burned coffee and malt. Taste is smooth, with milky coffee, roasted malt and a little cacao and vanilla. Velvety round and gritty mouthfeel. Very sophisticated and tasty.

Heavy too overwelming coffee aroma, but taste is nice and balanced. Great coffee stout.

Bottle via and shared with oakbluff. Black in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of herbal coffee, oatmeal, pale malt, and a hint of red berry. The coffee takes on a slight ashy character in the mouth, but provides a nice contrast between the marshmallow, chocolate syrup, and whole wheat bread dough flavors. Appropriately heavy mouthfeel, but the coffee and roasted malt provide some drying balance.

(Bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Dec 12 2014) Pours pitch black, tiny dark head with spotty lace. Aroma has lots of freshly roasted coffee beans, "green" sort of bean aroma too, chocolate powder, dried dates?, dark malt sweetness, a little molasses, a rounded sort of nose really. On the palate, coffee beans roasted and soaked in molasses, some dried dark pit fruits, touch of cocoa, velvety, and a creaminess that I attribute to oatmeal. Medium bodied and slightly oily with fairly soft carb. This is as smooth and not aggressively roasted/bitter a coffee stout as you could imagine, while being unabashedly coffee forward. It might not have the depth of the very best in the style but it is delicious and goes down so very smoothly indeed. Yum.

Bomber bought through craftbeer.se. pours oily pitch black with a rather small dark mocha head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet, malty and slightly estery with roasted malts, burnt caramel, banana bread, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, moist soil, roasted bell peppers and alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, pumpernickel bread, burnt caramel, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, moist soil, minerals, soy, salty liquorice candy and alcohol. Mouthfeel is fat, round, velvety, tiny roasted astringent, tiny boozy and full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, moist soil, minerals, liquorice and alcohol. Another excellent BORIS-version.
