COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BORIS the Crusher made with coffee from the Hippie Coffee Company in Canton, OH. Freshly roasted coffee flavor and aroma add satisfying levels of complexity to this robust stout, perfectly complimenting its intense, rich roasted character. Cold infusion with whole coffee beans keeps the bitterness low and the flavor high!

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out loads of high quality coffee upfront. Flavour brings out lots of coffee beans, a very subtle tartness, some dry cocoa and a little roast. Highly complex and deep, as usual for these Boris beers. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black color with a medium brown head. A big huge coffee nose. The flavor is big sweet coffee, roast, metal, chocolate. Damn smooth. Very good.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel and alcohol. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, coffee, licorice and roasted bitterness in the finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, at the brewpub. It pours a black body under a minimal sized, creamy tan head. There’s lots of coffee on the nose, mocha, chocolate and roasted malts. Not much hops hitting the nose. It’s full bodied, warming and nicely carbonated, oily, with flavors of coffee and mocha dominating. Roasted malts and dark chocolate too. A decent coffee kind of bitterness too, lasting for a good while. Lasting finish. Wonderful and tasteful. 150616

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, brown head. Intense, roasty dark malty aroma, notes of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, coffee. Taste is slightly sweet dark malty, roasty, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee; warming alcoholic finish. Flawless, clean and concentrated, though almost a bit restricted and simple.

Dark beer with an attractive cascading brown head. Enticing nose of code bean and chocolate. This is definitely a coffee beer. Lots of dark caramel and toffee sweetness with bitter coffee bean and dark chocolate flavors. The finish is like caramel coffee. Very nice addition to a great stout.

Bottle. Pours slightly opaque black with a medium dark brown head that dissipates fairly quickly with good lacing. Aroma is coffee, ashtray, roast, cocoa. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, coffee - a bit stale perhaps - ashtray, cocoa, molasses. Light acidity. Medium body, creamy. Very coffee forward.

Bottle - Lots of dark roast coffee and molasses with a touch of burnt notes. Jet brown with a decent brown head. Coffee bitterness and dark roast with some dark malts. Nice.
