Bottle: The aroma consists of dark moderate-heavy dark chocolate, coffee, a hint of black licorice, and barely a touch of vanilla. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head that quickly fades to a very fine ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy dark chocolate with a hint of molasses. The finish has moderate-heavy roasted coffee, a touch of black licorice, light pine, and faint burnt notes. It’s medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a slightly oily mouthfeel.

Black pour with a tall brown head tiny bubbles looks a bit like creamy oatmeal. Big coffee aroma roasted malts a good amount of milk chocolate and a touch of butter. Full well coated palate. Lightly warm swallow shows some alcohol. Very good stuff but u need to like coffee as its present heavily throughout. There’s a little bit of finishing bitterness as well thatbcuts through the amount of sweetness in this beer.

Bottle; Pour is murky brown with mahogany highlights into this glass. This has a one finger, khaki head that retains on the average / below average side, frankly. The nose is nice ; cracker crust, roast coffee, chocolate, mild booze, and hint of smoke. This one has a nice mouthfeel, cocoa nibs move to roast coffee notes. It is quite nice - more cracker crust, with a long, bittering finish. Another unhyped, high quality brew from HF

>> Thanks phaleslu for this one. Ink pour with maroon highlights. Mocha foam. Nose is mildly green coffee, cinnamon graham cracker, spicy/savory Anaheim pepper. So slightly green all around but pulls it off narrowly. Taste is big dairy thickness, espresso, melted chocolate bar, nice spicy Anaheim pepper. Palate is typical BORIS series silky oat derived dextrin heavy. Very good.

Draft: Dark brownish black color with medium brown head and no lacing. Aroma has rich cocoa malts and coffee notes. Flavor has bitter coffee and roasted cocoa malts. Okay overall but the added coffee makes it a little less smooth and balanced than Boris.

Pour from bomber. Thick and black. Aroma is very roasty with some chocolate and coffee. Taste is a pretty big chocolat bomb with coffee. Has some sweetness but not overpowering. This was a nice suprise.

Bomber. Pours black with a small foamy head that fades quickly to a ring. Aromas is mostly medium roasted coffee and creamy oatmeal with hints of dark chocolate. Taste is a let down for me. The coffee definitely gives off a strong bitterness and vegetable taste that is off-putting. The thick and creamy Boris base beer is still there though so it’s not a total disappointment. Great mouthfeel too. It’s thick, creamy, chewy, and even a bit oily. I’m torn because the aroma and mouthfeel are great but the taste isn’t. My overall leans toward taste.
