COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BORIS the Crusher made with coffee from the Hippie Coffee Company in Canton, OH. Freshly roasted coffee flavor and aroma add satisfying levels of complexity to this robust stout, perfectly complimenting its intense, rich roasted character. Cold infusion with whole coffee beans keeps the bitterness low and the flavor high!

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin! Oily black pour, pretty thick looking with some deep tan edges & a small, silky mocha film resting on top. Aroma is full of burnt, oily coffee beans & spent coffee grounds... Intensely heavy coffee aroma with a backing of roasted malts & a little back-end bitter cocoa dust. Taste reminds me of a more tame, non-barrel version of BCS coffee with the big, oily, thick, deep, roasty coffee bean presence, obviously without the bourbon & wood. Roast, burnt brown sugar, mild ash, a touch of astringency, a slight milkiness in the finish that collides with a hint of bitter malt. Medium bodied, not as thick as I’d imagine. Very nice stout from Hoppin’ Frog, another sweet addition to the BORIS series.

22 oz bottle. Courtesy of olio. Black color with a small brown head. Coffee, roasted malt, vanilla, sweetness and some marmalade in the aroma. The flavor is sweetness, caramel, roasted malt, coffee and mild bitterness. I hate coffee. I can tolerate this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark Black. Thick foamy mocha head. Thick creamy coffee. Acidic. Very roasted, almost espresso like. Charred. If you like dark coffee, then youll like this. A bit bitter. I’d prefer more milkiness or chocolate, as is its in your face dark roasted coffee (and I like dark coffee). Somewhat peppery. Porch beer on a beautiful day!
