COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BORIS the Crusher made with coffee from the Hippie Coffee Company in Canton, OH. Freshly roasted coffee flavor and aroma add satisfying levels of complexity to this robust stout, perfectly complimenting its intense, rich roasted character. Cold infusion with whole coffee beans keeps the bitterness low and the flavor high!

Draft: Dark brownish black color with medium brown head and no lacing. Aroma has rich cocoa malts and coffee notes. Flavor has bitter coffee and roasted cocoa malts. Okay overall but the added coffee makes it a little less smooth and balanced than Boris.

Bomber from Kenny Rd Market. Black pour with a big brown head. Aroma is roasted coffee, oats, chocolate. Tastes are bitter coffee, cocoa, dark malt, bread, oatmeal. Slick chewy palate a little thinner than I remember on other boris’s. I’m typically always a fan of coffee treatment to imp stouts, but I have the regular rated higher than what I got here. Will have to do a side by side some day.

Thick black oily pour with a thin dark brown head and minimal carbonation /lacing ..... Aroma of fresh coffee, dark heavily roasted malts, chocolate, sweet sugary vanilla and caramel malts ..... Taste is of sugary vanilla and caramel malts with a very roasted coffee flavor and then a deep bitter dark chocolate .... Has an oily and thick mouthfeel .... With a dry bitter coffee/espresso flavor lingering ... Excellent stuff abv hidden well

Sample @ CBC 2014. Pours black with a small dense brown head. Aroma is roasted dominated by coffee, smooth milk chocolate in the background with some bitter chocolate and sweeter malty notes. Taste is roasted and bitter coffee and chocolate, medium sweet malt. Medium bitter roasted finish. Medium/full bodied.

22 oz bottle purchased at Capone’s. Pours a pitch black with a dark brown head that rapidly fades to a few bubbles on the meniscus. Aroma is roasted smoky malts, coffee complexity and bitterness, and mild caramel sweetness. Flavor is bold and complex: roast, smoke, coffee, vanilla, dark cherries, slightly sweet lactic note. These flavors meld together in a way that leaves my palate wanting more. Medium to full bodied, bittersweet chocolate finish. I am reminded of the first time I bought this, on the way out to Dark Lord Day 2011. We stopped at the brewery and bought a bottle.

Bottle shared by RussianDragon. Thanks man! The beer is near black with a thin, wispy layer of beige head. Aromas of espresso, roast, light char, dark chocolate. Thick and palate coating. Oily and slick, with melted dark chocolates. Booze and malt are countered by strong coffee and a delicate bitterness. Really tasty.

66 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and liquorice - with a bitter finish.

Sample @ RBWG, Asheville. Deep brown pour with a small head. Strong coffee. Nutella and Whole Nut Cadbury bar. Earthy roast meets sweet chocolate. Similar flavor. Slightly acidic dark roast coffee. Dark chocolate. A bit boozy. Full, oily, rich on the palate. OK.
