Bomber from Ray’s in Tosa. Pours very dark brown with a light brown head. Nice lacing. Aroma - HELLO COFFEE! Aroma has in your face coffee, with chocolate, roasted maltiness and faint nuts. Lovely. Taste has bitter expresso beans, roast and faint sweet chocolate. Slightly rough. Finishes mostly coffee bitter with some sweetness under. This is a nice porter!

On tap @ Beer Temple. Pitch black color. Dense beige head, with some lacing. Aroma’s: from the glass - red fruit, roast, ground coffee; retronasal: Coffee (with a capital C), heavy roast. Flavor is medium sweet, roast, coffee, a bit of fruit. Medium bodied. Not as silky as the regular silk porter. Finishes with ash, heavy roast, medium bitter. Liked this a lot.

MotherBrother (555) - Aalborg, DENMARK - JUN 14, 2013
Pour dark opaque brown, with a nicely looking, slightly frothy and creamy tan head. Aroma gives coffee right away. Plenty of it.. Followed by chocolate, slight licorice, some hoppy notes in here as well. The taste has some faint sweet notes up front, with a nice dose of bitterness at the end. Slight watery body, with a lively carbonation. Really is easy drinking, with a really big taste, and somewhat slightly thin on the palate...

650ml bottle from Bierkompass

Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth light brown head. Aroma of mocha, roasted coffee, hints of chocolate. Taste is a bit harsh with notes of mocha, roasted malts, cold coffee and chocolate. Finish is roasted with loads of coffee notes and hints of chocolate. Okay porter with quite a lot of coffee notes.

650 ml bottle.
Pours a black colour with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of strong roasted coffee, hay and cream. Flavour of roasted malts, cream, coffee, grains and dark chocolate. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes malty and floral with coffee. Needs a heavier body, but still a good beer.

65 cl bottle @ lusikka, no BBE info
Aroma is rather nice with mocha, truffles, semi‐dark chocolate and hints of vegetables typical to mocha beers. Also hints of cocoa and hay. Flavour has mocha, dark chocolate, and hints of vegetables. Palate is a bit too high on CO2. Feels rather dry and a bit thin. With higher ABV this could rock.

Bomber. A clear dark brown to black beer, with a small, frothy, lacing, mostly lasting beige head. The aroma is moderately malty (strong coffee, milk chocolate, roasted grain), very lightly hoppy (herbs), with a touch of vanilla. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, quite long finish with moderate bitterness, lightly alcoholic. Lovely nose, rich, with fresh coffee, pretyy well made in the other departments as well. Not the best from them, but solid as usual.

Poured into a perfect pint. 4.0 A: Black color. One and a half fingers of tan creamy/frothy head. Retention is pretty good for a coffee beer and a good bit of lacing is left. 3.5 S: The nose is a bit mild - even the coffee is weaker than I’d expect. Still, what is there, is very pleasant. Roastiness, grainy maltiness, and hints of chocolate. Not a lot of complexity, but good enough. 3.25 T: The taste is even more mild. Same flavors - coffee, grain, roast, and chocolate - but there’s less depth than in the nose. 3.0 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Not much creaminess. Though creaminess is tough to get when coffee is in play, I still expect a bit more. Goes down easy though. 3.25 D: It’s not bad, but I don’t see a re-buy anytime in the near future. draught@Erzbierschof - black beer under a solid creamy beige foam; nice lacework; robust and pure coffeish aroma, notes of ashes and nuts, velvety palate and medium-bodied; a light sweetness below, moderate bitterness; the finish is salty with more notes of coffee and roasted malts - very drinkable
