22oz bottle in an English pint. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee, hints of smokiness, and floral hops. Flavor the same, with a nice balance of all the malts. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer.

@ Basunen 16-4-2: Stor doft av kaffesump och aska. Smaken är tydlig med kaffe men munnkänsla är lite tunn. Ok men inget mer.

On tap at Beertemple, Amsterdam. Body is black, head is medium, brownish, creamy rocky, mostly lasting, excellent lacing. Nose is slightly smoky, chocolate, flavor is chocolate, rosted peanuts, light smoked cheese, mild coffee, roasted peanuts. Light sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Finish is medium lasting roasty and slightly smoky bitter. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Easy dessert beer, tasty, interesting.

Draught at BeerTemple. Very creamy, thick, lacing, light beige head over a near black beer. Aroma of espresso, coffee grounds, black tea, ’natural’ iron, fig, dried leaves; dried fruit sweetishness in onset, raisins, figs, bit ’metallic’ but not disturbingly so in this texture; lovely chocolatey and caramelly middle phase, lots of drying coffee powder indeed adding bitterness and spiciness, some warming alcohol in the end. Delicious porter.

65cl bottle, served in Duvel glass. Pours black with medium tan head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and hints of vanilla. Exactly the same flavour, this version is as balanced as the original with more coffee intensity. It would be nice to know what kind of coffee they used. The aftertaste is slightly more bitter than the regular Silk. Creamy mouthfeel, good carbonation. Great brew as expected.

Very dark if not black with a beige head. Aroma is coffee grounds, light chocolate, malt. Medium, smooth body. Flavor is dark coffee, earth, bitter chocolate, light caramel malt. Medium dry finish. A nice coffee porter. (Bottle was forgotten in a cool, dark basement for more than two years)
