COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

Bottle (22 oz). Thanks to Paul for this one! Pitch black with a small and thick dark reddish brown head, little lacing. Aroma if of fudge, roasted malt, molasses and dark fruits. Taste is moderately sweet with fudge, molasses, roasted malt, dark fruit and a warming alcohol finish. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Oily/sticky mouthfeel. Well balanced. Complex, but not as much as the best of the style. Not as good as Boris and Boris variants. Still a good RIS.

A black beer with a medium and brown head .The nose is intensive and complex, liquirice, roastiness, chocolate, sweet berries and nuts. Taste is powerfull, salt liquirice, coffee, roastiness, nuts and balanced sweetness. The end is long with roasted coffee. Full bodied, smooth not sticky. Great beer, pure enjoyment.

Pours double black...very small dark brown head. Aroma of alcohol and licorice. Licorice and molasses favors. Slightly sweet, but also more bitter than most dark beers this rich - balances nicely.

22oz bottle picked up at Grassroots in Florida last year @ RBWG
Pours thick black with a small dark brown head, light lacing but my glass is coated brown. Aroma is rich dark chocolate, roast coffee, dark malts, vanilla, leather and meaty. The flavor is dark roasted malts, roasted coffee, rich milk chocolate, ashy, sweet caramel with a nice bitter finish
Wow, this is awesome. I really don’t know how it could be any better. I hope to get more of this someday, (ISO) if you have access to this.

Bottle from Total wine sterling. Pours black with a thin, rich, creamy brown head. lots of malt on the nose. Very hop forward on the tongue. You definitely get the bitterness right away. And then all that raisiny, molasses malt hits you. I get a bit of booziness on the finish. It’s a big beer which it’s constantly reminding you of as it kicks you in the balls.

Guest tap at The Local Pub, Athens Greece. Pitch black body with a dark brown head!!! Excellent idea for a picture on a wall! Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee and maybe some dark fruits when it got warmer. Taste was phenomenal!!! Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, liquorice and some oats at the mouthfeel. Strong bittersweet aftertaste. Excellent mouthfeel, full body with low carbonation. The perfect imperial Stout!! Bravo!!
