COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

22oz bottle, received via trade with heybeerman - Decadence. If I had just one word to describe this beer, that would be it. I’ve only had Hoppin’ Frog once or twice but this was phenom. Like a great stout and a top notch dessert combined into one. The aroma is just one long stream rich chocolate, coffee, light soy notes, a little salty, and light hops. Coffee, black strap molasses, dark chocolate, earthy hops, light soy with just a tiny smidge of smoke. Thick, coating, viscous and amazing.

Pitch black color with small brown head. Chocolate and roasted coffee beans in the aroma. Rich taste of bitter chocolate, espresso and bitter espresso and hoppy finish. Super-smooth mouthfeel, thick and oily texture. Very good stout, but not so easy to drink for many people I guess.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2015 Black as night. Thick and sweet. Pours as thick as caugh syrup. Alcohol warmth. Malty. Delicious. Definitely in my top 3. Flavors of coffee, molasses, chocolate, and a little alcohol warmth at the end. Absolutely amazing.

dark brown colour, 1 cm of creamy dark brown head; aroma of coffee, herbal notes, some dark chocolate and alcohol; taste of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, herbal notes, some grassy-piney hops in the background and spicy alcohol; long lasting alcoholic-roasted aftertaste; really great imperial stout

"yeah, this one is nice...along the lines of a Yeti or Rasputin (bottle). A hoppy monster of an imperial stout with loads of roasted malts, chocolate, a toych of coffee, ample hop flavor and bitterness, a great thick chewy feel. Black as night (even the head was dark). I’d rate most everything an 8 1/2 if i could, but i guess i’ll have to pick and choose :)"

Marstonlad (505) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 26, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2014 Bottle at Kaisla, Helsinki. A pitch black color with a little brownish foam forming on the sides. The aroma features a rich combination of malty and hoppy elements: salted licorice, vanilla, plum and a touch of coffee. Taste is light sweet initially, later dry and medium to heavy bitter. Solid dark maltiness forms a perfect balance with strong hoppiness. The palate is full bodied and smooth; the carbonation low. A great, rich American IS.
