Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

Pours an opaque very dark brown with a rich, dark brown head. Rich chocolate, oatmeal, and vanilla nose. Viscous and smooth mouthfeel. Flavors are remarkably more complex than what’s detected in the nose. Smokiness, oatmeal, vanilla, chocolate, date, and olive. Yummy.

Better than its brother Boris, Doris is an excellent imperial. Almost no alcoholic bite, this one has big flavors of oatmeal, chocolate and molasses.

Bottle picked up from Beers of Europe (I think). consumed at home with Loz, dad & Pauline Friday 7th November 2014 Shark eye black thick oily pour with a brown head. Really meaty, oaty, strong but so thick and lucious in mouth. Liquorice, fresh green hops. Hugely warming, boozy, creamy. , really, really creamy and massively indulgent. Lovely stuff. 22oz bottle, received via trade with heybeerman - Decadence. If I had just one word to describe this beer, that would be it. I’ve only had Hoppin’ Frog once or twice but this was phenom. Like a great stout and a top notch dessert combined into one. The aroma is just one long stream rich chocolate, coffee, light soy notes, a little salty, and light hops. Coffee, black strap molasses, dark chocolate, earthy hops, light soy with just a tiny smidge of smoke. Thick, coating, viscous and amazing.

Pitch black color with small brown head. Chocolate and roasted coffee beans in the aroma. Rich taste of bitter chocolate, espresso and bitter espresso and hoppy finish. Super-smooth mouthfeel, thick and oily texture. Very good stout, but not so easy to drink for many people I guess.

Bottle pour motor oil black and about the same consistency with thick dark mocha head. Nose earthy dankness, dark fruit, butterscotch, some chocolate. Taste bitter roast up front. Some chocolate and sweetness mid palate. Long bitter finish. Great mouth feel.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2015 Black as night. Thick and sweet. Pours as thick as caugh syrup. Alcohol warmth. Malty. Delicious. Definitely in my top 3. Flavors of coffee, molasses, chocolate, and a little alcohol warmth at the end. Absolutely amazing.
