Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

Pours pitch black almost like engine oil brown head with a purple tinge. Strong chocolate taste, silky mouthfeel quite a heavy beer but a great way to end Hoppin Frog tasting session.

Bottle purchased at the Hoppy imports in Greece, aged and cracked for my birthday. Black oil pour, brownish foam lowering but leaving traces. Nose: milk shake, vanilla roots, some grassy hops. Rich. Mouth: bitter licorice, burnt malt, elegant bitter grassy finish. Not bad at all, very tasty tough! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In aroma ummami, chocolate, roasted, almost smoked aroma. Pitch Black, nice but shortlating head. Full bodied, low carbonated. Really roasty, nutty flavor with long chocolate aftertaste. Brilliant.

Deep oily brown colour with cinnamon coloured head on top. Aroma has roasted coffee, malts, slight alcohol notes too. Taste is dry and salty, espresso coffee, roasted malts, liquor feel in the end with some alcohol tingle. Oily texture and lowish carbonation.

Pours an opaque very dark brown almost black color, like motor oil with similar viscosity and khaki colored head. Roasted malts, oats, chocolate, and some coffee on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied, thick and very silk like on the palate. Finishes with dark chocolate and roast.

DWF; Bottle large, drunk at Hall Toll. Pours smal to moderate, black with frothy, lacing and lasting tan head. Nose is heavy, roasted malt, chocolate, coffe, moderate dried dark fruit, vanilla and light ash. Taste is heavy sweet and bitter with a lasting dark chocolate, warming finish. Body is full, texture is thick, carbonation soft. Nice..

Tap at BeerTemple. Black with brown head, one of the more darker heads I’ve seen on a beer. Lots of roasted malts up front, molasses, dried red fruits, lime pie, toffee, burnt toast, rye bread. Really strong on the roasted malts which gives a nice bitterness, but there’s a lot of sweetness too and plenty of citrusy hops to balance it out. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Nice stuff.

Sampled from tap at ’Beertemple’. Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, hazelnut, mocca and some vanilla. Sweetish, roasty-malty taste of coffee, dark chocolate, mocca, hazelnut and vanilla, followed by a long, roasty-bitter, slightly warming finish. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Great!

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. A black coloured pour with a thin tan head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, slightly bitter. Another rich, classy heavyweight from Hoppin Frog Brewery.

Butelka. Aromat mocno palony i kakaowy. Smak głównie gorzki, palony, czekoladowo kakaowy, spore ciało, gładka faktura. Naprawdę fajnie rozbudowany stout.

Pours a deep dark black color with a small reddish brown head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, with a hint of hops. Flavor has a lot of big chocolate taste, with some coffee, and I think a touch of smoke. A damn fine stout.
