Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

On tap at Pinocchio’s. Whoooooweee! Pours, dark, dark frothy head. Boozy chocolate aroma. Overload of chocolate, coffee and oatmeal. Sweet, balanced by coffee bitterness. Fantastic....really.

dark brown colour, 1 cm of creamy dark brown head; aroma of coffee, herbal notes, some dark chocolate and alcohol; taste of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, herbal notes, some grassy-piney hops in the background and spicy alcohol; long lasting alcoholic-roasted aftertaste; really great imperial stout

"yeah, this one is nice...along the lines of a Yeti or Rasputin (bottle). A hoppy monster of an imperial stout with loads of roasted malts, chocolate, a toych of coffee, ample hop flavor and bitterness, a great thick chewy feel. Black as night (even the head was dark). I’d rate most everything an 8 1/2 if i could, but i guess i’ll have to pick and choose :)"

Pours black with very minimal head, almost no lacing. The nose isn’t overwhelming but there is molasses, alcohol and, some alcohol (my nose isn’t up to par right now, I’ll re-rate the beer later because of this). The flavor is pretty nice; some coffee, chocolate and, vanilla. It finishes a little bitter, you can notice the hops and the mouthfeel is pretty sublime. Nice brew, give it a shot if you can find it. First rate on this one, bitches.

Bottle pour motor oil black and about the same consistency with thick dark mocha head. Nose earthy dankness, dark fruit, butterscotch, some chocolate. Taste bitter roast up front. Some chocolate and sweetness mid palate. Long bitter finish. Great mouth feel.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2014 Tap. Pours pitch black, thick creamy dark brown mocca head. Aroma is loads of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Molasses and light vanilla. Taste is sweet and all same as aroma, chocolate, roasty malt, coffee with medium bitter and roasty finish. Small hint of booze. Well balanced and drinkable with surprisingly light body, despite the big flavors.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2014 Bottle at Kaisla, Helsinki. A pitch black color with a little brownish foam forming on the sides. The aroma features a rich combination of malty and hoppy elements: salted licorice, vanilla, plum and a touch of coffee. Taste is light sweet initially, later dry and medium to heavy bitter. Solid dark maltiness forms a perfect balance with strong hoppiness. The palate is full bodied and smooth; the carbonation low. A great, rich American IS.
