3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle served in a Westbrook Tulip. 2011 vintage.
A: Pours an opaque black color with a quick dissolving dark brown head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin ring and some whisps.
S: Dark fruits, roasted malts and a touch of smoke are all present here. Some dark chocolate and bitter coffee beans pop up as well.
T: Some nice dark fruit flavors with a slight booze kick hits up front. The booze lingers throughout and has intermingling flavors of bakers chocolate and candied sugar. The finish has a ton of semi-bitter roasted malts that a have a little sweetness kick as well and a twinge of smoke.
M: Heavy bodied with a medium carbonation level. Nice mouth coating oiliness and slickness.
O: Very solid flavors throughout. The booze lingers a little much and leaves a little too much sweetness. There is some deep roasted malts that counter this in the finish, but the booze seems to stick around even after that.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a huge incredibly dark brown head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was malty and sweet with chocolate syrup, dark fruits, floral hops and leafy fruity hops - very intense. The flavor was thick rich and malty with dark fruits. Oatmeal, cocoa powder, dough, strong fruity & floral hope and red wine. Incredibly long finish of cocoa, red wine and hops. Thick, full and chewy body. Outstanding.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque black color, brown rim head, star field of lace. Aroma of toasted malt. Taste is thick toasted malt and toffee. It grows bigger before hitting a thin wall of hops and carbonation on the swallow. Alcohol joins at the finish. Big and bold, maybe complex, but this brew is mostly about the malt.

From a bomber. Poured a dark ruby black with a dark brown thick head reminiscent of melted ice cream. Tastes are molasses, dark cherries, toasted malt and anise. Nice balance with no overwhelming boozy flavor. Nice but there are better RIS's out there

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Rich roasted malt aroma with notes of molasses, dark chocolate and anise. Pours inky, oily black with a thin light brown head with no retention and minimal lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt flavor and dark chocolate. Finishes with molasses and anise with an extremely smooth ending with a little bit hop bitterness, but not a lot. Excellent stout!
