It poured a black color with a large tan head. The aroma was of heavy roasted malts and ryes with some slight smokiness, coffee, and a bit of ash. The taste was of cocoa powder, dark chocolate and decently hoppy, with more bitterness than expected. There were lots of roasted malts, coffee, rye, and dark chocolate. Nice.

22 ounce from the wine shop near Findley Market in Cinci. Chocolate throughout. Slight cherry taste in finish. Somewhat rich and sticky. Very tasty.

Well done. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is toffee / bourbon. Taste is slightly sweet with vanilla notes. Finishes with an alcohol burn.

Dark, black. Has a light brown head, lasting. Roasted aroma, burnt bread, mixed dark notes, coffee, dark chocolate. Faint hoppy notes. FLavor starts sweet, lots of roasted notes. Bitter finish. Dry, creamy texture.

Bomber. Pours an opaque black with a dark brown head. Smells of roasted malt, chocolate, light vanilla, light citrus, and pine. Flavor is similar with some rye. Meidum bodied, lingering bittersweet chocolate and spice.

Draft at the Sybarite Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Tulip. Pours a black, viscous fluid with a thick tan head. Decent lacing. The aroma is powerful with chocolate, cocoa nibs, coffee, and certainly rye. Sort of smelled like a chocolate rye bread if that exists. The taste is similar with the rye and chocolate coming through mostly. It isn’t sweet but rather toasted and dry malts (rye). The cocoa nibs and coffee hit on the finish. It is full bodied and heavily carbonated for a stout. Kind of odd category but was very good.

Bomber to big snifter. Thick black pour with a tan head that is long lasting. Hoppy and spicy aroma. Would never guess stout if blindfolded. Deep chocolate flavor with a rye and hop kick.

Full black body with a thick brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa and toasted stuff. Dry flavor of pretty much the same things with some pine. Also earthy hops are apparent. Nice aftertaste and carbonation.

Rating 1300. Pours a black color with a tan head. Aroma is of caramel, roasted, and chocolate malts with a hint of citrus hops. Plenty of rye as well on the aroma. Flavor is strong of the roasted, rye, and chocolate malts. There’s a hint of citrus hops on the finish with plenty of bitterness as well. Not much alcohol flavor for being an imperial stout.
